Sometimes he'd thought about them back home, in New York now that they were now a real them. There was that little pizza place Steve would have liked to take him, where they could have held hands in the back under the table. There were all kinds of things he would have just loved to be able to share, things that weren't cut down trees and clean shirts. So this? It felt new and Steve had a hint of First Date Nerves that fluttered in his gut. He wasn't really nervous, it was more that it felt kind of special.
At least here no one knew them and there was that freedom to hold Tony's hand and be invisible to those around them. Plus the Pokemon really didn't care.
Tony was assertive, heading to get something and telling Steve to sit and it was sexy to see him like that again. Normal and in his element, all Tony without the disaster and grief or the pressure of being in charge and Steve took a seat where he could watch him through the window because he didn't want to miss a thing. A bird type creature landed on the table and he sat forward, utterly intrigued by it as it ruffled its feathers. This was a strange place but Steve liked it.
"Maybe I should get out more," Steve remarked when Tony was back in earshot.
