Steve had been through the doors precisely twice and both of those times it had been because Tony was going. He didn't trust them at all, because he didn't understand them and there was a genuine fear that he might go through and be unable to get back. The idea of being somewhere else and knowing people were back waiting for him to come back? Well he just couldn't deal with that at the moment. Maybe down the track, but he preferred to keep himself busy at home base, his gym was slowly coming together, actually it would be finished in the next few days.
Tony had invited him along and Steve was intrigued with the creatures that people were bringing back and he wasn't about to turn down an offer for what was sounding like a date. Their first real date, or their hundredth if you counted movies on the couch and Steve dying to take Tony's hand.
There was no hiding Steve's pleasure at his surroundings, because not only were there Pokemon, but there was something distinctly European about Lumoise and the options of how to spend their time were Steve's favourite. Because there hadn't been time, he'd been so recognizable when he'd been on the run and hadn't risked going out much. So art galleries and cafes? Well it was nice, really nice.
"Both," Steve said as he took Tony's hand, the two heading up the cobblestones. "Pastry and coffee first?" He suggested because there were beautiful places out in the sun they could sit and enjoy it and watch all of this pass them by.
