On the surface Gwen just seemed nice, but there was much more to her than that, Natasha could see that there were so many other emotions hiding just under the surface and it just made her want to get to know Gwen more and learn what it was that she was holding on to so tightly like that. As someone who lived in a similar way she thought maybe it was something they could share a bit. And of course knowing that Gwen knew the other her as well was also something that made her endlessly curious as someone who hadn't known her before she'd come here it made Gwen a unique point of reference.
Nodding when Gwen admitted she'd cut herself off when things had gotten difficult for her, so she didn't have to fight quite so hard to keep the people she cared about safe and still do what she had to. She understood that only too well. She couldn't help but like Gwen immediately, her easy earnest honesty spoke plenty about her and of course she already had the Tony Stark seal of approval.
"So you're like Peter right? Spider-Woman?" She asked, curious about how that worked, the multiverse that flipped things like that on their head like that wasn't something she'd initially considered. "What else were you doing besides the hero thing before you got here?"
