"You got it," Gwen said with a smile. She was happy to make one for her, honestly. Even if they didn't share the same closeness she'd had with Natasha before (yet, but that could change, she hoped), it was still very comforting for her at least to have her around. Knowing about her as she did, some similar struggles they had even if it was never spoken of again, Gwen felt good about having her in town and especially in the house. "And yeah, I fully expect to hear about it from Mr. Rogers but that's honestly just part of the fun living here." Because were you really living unless you got a Captain America lecture? Seriously. Especially if Tony was behind him giving the world's biggest eye roll. That was entertainment at its finest, really.
"I actually lived in a house with someone else in the beginning," she said. "Her name was Jan van Dyne and she came from the world Mr. Stark 2.0 is from, and we kind of became instant friends. The Jan from my world is much older and retired from being a super hero type person. She was actually who made my Spider-Woman suit and the formula for my webbing. Anyway, young Jan and I ran the clothing shop, which is why it's still called Van Dyne's. One day she just.. well, vanished like some people do here. That was hard. Mr. Stark came to see me to make sure I was okay and while we were taking a walk he asked if I wanted to live in his house with him, Steve and Peter. I've been here ever since. It's pretty great." She flipped the bread over because she was pretty adamant about grilling both sides of the weird bread. Some people didn't do that and she never understood why they'd leave one side soft.
