Very nice! I love that Harry's wearing Arthur's outfit. Snape's expression is great too.

Arthur - from the Merlin/Arthur BBC show? I wanted to watch that, but couldn't :( The clips looked really cool...

Yes, from BBC's Merlin. :) I'm not a huge fan of it, but I don't think it's too hard to find the episodes online. There's youtube and then there's all the torrent sites.

*swoons* I feel like I have been waiting *ages* for a Merlin Snarry AU and this piece is definitely worth the wait. Wonderful! It actually makes complete sense that Snape is Merlin, but I'm still shocked by it. Too much BBC Merlin, apparently. The stained glass effect is gorgeous. And I love the costumes and the Holy Grail. Really stunning work.

I was looking at old Merlin/Arthur lore (think Sword in the Stone), but ended up using the BBC version for refs, though I had no way to watch the actual show. Why is it shocking that Snape is Merlin? I thought it made more sense than for Snape to be king (though, aha ha....he's a Prince, isn't he? :X )

Thanks for the comment/compliments, I'm a fan of your art too :)

Hahahaha! Don't get me started. ;D It does make more sense that Snape be Merlin actually. Though based on Snape being a Prince, Harry's being the one who I think of as having more raw magical talent, and the personality of the BBC Arthur and Merlin, I mentally assign Snape the role of Arthur and Harry Merlin. I even drew a Snarry Merlin outtake for the last [info]snarry_games. Yours is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better like woah. Though I'm glad you like my art. ;D

I live in the US and it takes a bit of creativity to watch the new episodes of Merlin each week. *cough* Though completely worth the effort. I believe the first season episodes can even be found on You Tube though those are in 10 minute increments and you can find the full episodes streamed a number of places. Possibly for both seasons. *cough*

Ooooh, I only had the pictures to go by. I think Hulu had short clips, but didn't have rights to the full shows, so I didn't know how to compare their personalities, but that does make sense! You need to link me to your Merlin Snarry art :3

Maybe after reveals are up we can do some art collabs, I'd love to get to know more artists, I've always been rather insular and I should stop that XD

Awesome icon! Is it photoshopped, or does that actually happen in the series? O_O

The outtake is here. Just a sketch, really.

I'm a better talker than artist, but would be happy to go over ideas with you.

Is it photoshopped, or does that actually happen in the series? O_O

Hahahaha! If that actually happened in the series I would drop down on my knees and worship at the alter of Merlin, Shine, and BBC. That is actually photoshopped from a clip of Arthur kissing Gwen (Guinevere) and Merlin kissing Freya (The Lady of the Lake), but the het has been removed to protect the slashers innocent. ;D

Gorgeous. I love the colors and I adore stained glass (it makes the lines of Snape's nose and Harry's scar work particulalry nicely). Well done, mystery artist!

Oh, thank you so much! This is perfect. I love the colours, I love the stained-glass style, their faces are great- I like how harry is smiling and snape's scowling but they're still determined to work together. Im not familiar with the BBC version, but arthurian legends are pretty well known anyway I don't think I'm missing anything significant by not seeing that show- I love that you chose arthurian too as i've been studying it.
Thank you again!

The best part for me is this being a stained glass window that's found hundreds of years later; there's something nice about knowing that their relationship was unique enough to be preserved in such a way. The art itself is beautiful--I love how you can see Snape's eye through his hair, and I agree with you; Snape would be the mysterious conjurer/adviser, and Harry would be the brave and valiant king. Wonderful pic!
