Wonderful fic. I love the idea of Severus watching and waiting, probably for as long as it took for Harry and Draco to be in the right place for their relationship to work. I thoroughly enjoyed the Russian setting-the importance of tradition and the formality of it. The boys were sweet and Draco making a great nappy-changer was just fantastic. Gorgeous sex between the three of them, Severus as always, just oozes sex appeal no matter what position he's in. Really lovely work-well done.

	The title came from a classic I read - a character's emphasis on starting to build a life on a solid base that would make a foundation and I just thought it applied here - nothing fly-by-night for Severus, he'd waited too long. I am so glad you liked the story! (Reply to this) (Parent)

OMG, you had me at Derbent. And at grey-haired Snape. And at DrunkOnMacallan!Harry. And at Harry holding Draco in bed. *G*

This is just fantastic, thank you SO MUCH. I may have flailed a bit at the Russian elements--how much do I love you for incorporating Orthodox Christmas! There may have been massive squeeage at that. No, really, massive.

I love the friendship that developed between Harry and Draco, and Snape setting that development up through the owls over the years is just seriously brilliant. And the sex. My God. How much do I love bottom Snape? Seriously. Especially bossy bottom Snape. *flails a bit more at you*

Seeing them as fathers was incredible. I love the way all three of them interact with the kids, both as toddlers and in the epilogue (and hi, can I please replace Jo's epilogue with yours? *G*)

	Brilliantly done. All three were convincingly written, the details delightful and the sex hot. The children were adorable and the alternative King's Cross scene a fantastic improvement over canon. I loved the setting (Derbent!) and the bringing in of the Russian Orthodox customs. Snape with grey hair is love, as are the children, especially Al's refusal to be intimidated by Snape. Oh, and my favourite thing of all in a 'first time' story, the slow movement towards a relationship that acknowledges their flaws and problems and still has them finding a way to get together.

Very nicely done indeed.
