They are all under the cut. It was a bit difficult this time, because most posts were in reply to the challenge, and I usually don't make banners for replies... so if I overlooked you, please tell me, you'll get your banner, too.

That's the question I often see coming up in discussions about Snape's Death Eater days--did he have to kill or not? It's quite interesting that the fandom perception has changed dramatically between the time that Order of the Phoenix was released and the time that the series ended.

Severus the Death Eater - Why do you think he became a Death Eater? What were his true motivations? Did he ever change his mind about being a Death Eater, or was his sole concern for Lily? What did he do as a Death Eater? Consider both "phases": His youth, when he first joined, until the fall of Voldemort in 1981; and when he returned, as a double agent, upon the return of Voldemort in the summer of 1995. Do you think he ever killed anyone in the line of duty as a Death Eater? Tortured anyone? Why or why not? What, exactly, was his role among the Death Eaters, as a young recruit, and later as one of the returning old-timers?
