This is my essay examining Snape's relationship with his Slytherin students, and also a short book review at the end.

In April, let's focus on:

Snape and Slytherin House.

How was his relationship to his house? He was Sorted there, he wanted to be Sorted there, he was Head of House and very loyal to his students. We know this from canon. But why was that so? Can we find clues in canon?

Does he love his Slytherins? Care for his house? How do they think about him?

You can write essays, but you don't have to. The format isn't strict, you can post lists with ideas, lists with links to other discussions, formal essays, just random thoughts, it doesn't really matter.

Please don't respond with your thoughts to this post, but start a new one. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please reply here. In fact, if you have ideas for future challenges, things you want to see, post them here. My plans for future months are: Marauders, Gryffindors, Potions or Defence... and there'll be more, but that's what will come eventually.

As usual, all participants will get a snapedom banner in the end. Participants are people who post a contribution to the challenge that goes a bit beyond 'Snape rocks'.
