I have been unable to reread DH for a number of reasons
Yeah, it's hard but necessary for writing meta/essays and revisionist fanfic. ;-)
but one of the primary ones is how obvious Dumbledore's callous disregard for human feeling is.
One of the worst examples of that was the horrible, horrible way he taunted Severus with, "Remember Lily's eyes, Severus?" I would have liked to work that into the essay, but by the time I thought of it I was already on my way to the library to post. Ah, well. Most everyone reading on this group will think of plenty of examples I didn't specifically cite here!
I don't care who Dumbledore lusted after, I care about whom he loved and he appeared to love no one.
