Here are all my essays, reviews, etc. I added the "etc." since some of these are closer to rants and discussions rather than formal essays.
On my personal LJ/IJ:
Thoughts on Order of the Phoenix (movie review) (7/15/07)
Deathly Hallows review (very ranty) (7/22/07)
Lexicon trial gets nasty: (4/16/08; originally posted on LJ on 4/14/08) Update on JKR's testimony during the Lexicon book trial; more of a personal rant than a news post.
Uh, so now it's illegal to dislike the epilogue?: (4/16/08) My rant on Steve Vander Ark's testimony.
More on the Lexicon trial...and Neil Gaiman rocks! (4/24/08): Discusses writer Neil Gaiman's take on the fair use issue.
Mugglecast and PotterCast episodes on the trial (4/26/08): My review of Mugglecast and PotterCast's podcasts on the trial. Also, more comments by Neil Gaiman, and SF writer Orson Scott Card's opinion of the lawsuit.
PotterCast just doesn't get it: (4/29/08) My reaction to PotterCast host Melissa's statement that John Noe was just "expressing his opinion" when he said that a true Harry Potter fan would not feel sympathy for Steve Vander Ark, and that I should not call him disrespectful (of pro-Steve fans) for it. Very angry rant!
Injunction issued against Lexicon book (9/9/08): My take on the judge's ruling in the Lexicon case.
Isn't this a bit petty? (9/13/08): My rant regarding JKR's agents asking to review Steve Vander Ark's planned travel memoir of Potter-related places to make sure it does not violate her copyrights.
Interview with Steve Vander Ark on HP Prognostications (9/17/08): A link to the podcast interview, and some discussion of copyright issues and fandom reaction to the case.

lupin_snape:
J.K.R.'s interview on the Today Show: DH Spoilers (7/27/07)
(Warning: very ranty discussion of JKR's "Snape is not a hero" statement; POV is Snupin-centric; discussion in the comments gets very heated at times.)
Meta Month: Snupin and Family (11/24/07): an essay for November's Meta Challenge about my reasons for liking Snupin fanfics in which Snape and Lupin adopt a child. Ship-centric, obviously.
Snape, Lupin, and babies (1/21/08): My response to a general (non-HP) essay on why babyfic is bad. It seemed to me that there are a number of good Snupin fics that portray the couple as parents, and I was wondering if there is something special about this pairing that lends itself well to that type of story.
Will continue to update as I post more entries.
