here's an assortment including plenty of self-pimping:

Snarry Games art "How I Made It" post where in I demo the baroque oil painting technique. WS art, 'warning' for bare chested Sev

Snarry Games reccs for those who DON'T ship Severus and Harry. Lots of wonderful gen and mentor work this year!

drabbles from the [info]slashretreat_dc  on the theme of "Old Fangirl's Retirement Home" that is run by Remus & Severus here:
(by the way, if you might like to join us next year, join the comm. it is no longer invitation only. and, we do tend to be Snape-centric!)

6th year Severus & Minerva art (NWS) drawn for hp_beholder this year. For a little change, Severus ought to be the innocent, perhaps learning the sensuous arts from an older professor.

"Spare the Rod" (NWS) Snape/Harry art from [info]hp_summersmut , my gift from [info]tripperfunster
  • Awesome recs! (Although I don't ship Snarry, I'm actually quite fond of the Harry,Snape mentor thing and I'm always glad to have recs for that). :)

Love the "How to..." and the painting that is demonstrated! :D Although I've been spoiled by the computer paint shop programs and have lost patience with doing real painting (it's so messy!), there is something about a real painting or a real pastel, etc. that exudes a feeling that you don't quite get with the computer made art. Makes me want to try painting again. :)

On that note, I must again say "Wow!" to the Severus/Minerva piece! :) I think it's piqued my interest in the pairing a little bit (and that is not a pairing I thought I'd get into.)
    • thanks! Sev/Minerva is pastel, with the wallpaper put in by photoshop.

I've learned a lot about digital art from fandom, but I still love to get my hands dirty!
