I am very, very pleased to see such great discussion here. Thanks, everyone!

However, discussion will always also attract spammers and trolls, and I have a zero tolerance level for them, and therefore I inform you that posts of the type: 'Snape's a greasy git, get a life' without any other meaningful contribution will be deleted without further comment if no one has replied to them yet. To post this on a Snape-centered asylum can only have one reason: to provoke. I do this to not tempt anyone to get all worked up. I know that you're hardened enough by now, but... ;)

I do keep a copy of the text and the IP number in an adminstrative post, just in case, to be able to make comparisons if these -always anonymous- people should find that they are on a mission. So it's still there, just not visible, and in a list instead of wildly mixed in the posts. This will not apply to people who think we are delusional and try to convince us in a meaningful way. That is called debate and always welcome, as long as it's done civilly.

Last point: does anyone remember the description for logging in by using OpenID? I know it's around here somewhere, but it'll take some time until I find it. I want to include it in the faq.

Thank you kindly.
  • Who's delusional?

I put a link to the OpenID procedure under the link section at [info]snapeartcontest. (I didn't ask the author's permission... erm.)

  • I commented to a reply here about using it. The trouble is apparently it doesn't always work. I have an friend on LJ that has tried to post to my journal and I know she knows how to do it ;) and still can't always log in. Just FYI.
    • I don't know why it doesn't always seem to work either. Growing pains of ij, I suppose. TBW showed me where to find the tutorial with pictures again, and I'll put that into the FAQ, that should be easier to point out when someone asks.
