A big Snapey thank you to many of our listeners for providing this news tip. If you have not seen it already check out the haunting deleted scene from HBP which, in our opinion, is all about Snape.

Snape fen can only hope that there is more where this came from.

Today the Harry Potter fandom realized a tragic loss. simons_flower--podcaster, prolific fan fic writer, Ravenclaw, mother, and master of snark--was laid to rest in a cemetery in Washington state. As a mentor to new writers, host of the Quaffle Talk podcast, and valued friend to all who knew her, simons _flower touched more lives than can be expressed in the form of a post to this blog. Although her death was sudden and much too soon, it served as an example to illustrate the love and kinship in this fandom. Sometimes pictures are more effective than words in expressing emotions and that may be the case here...

It turns out that the poster with Snape and his greasy locks blowing in the wind was legit. Click on the image below for the high res version of what Mugglenet is calling the "bad guys poster". Man, what will it take for Snape to lose this "villain" reputation?

There's a new billboard in LA with a very airbrushed Snape...

UHP has posted 6 new HBP posters and one of them features Snape. The picture is blurry, but it has some potential.



And I do think it is slightly different than this one. In the blurred pic, the robe and hair are swishing in a semi-dramatic fashion. ;)

Did you really think the Snapecasters would be hanging out at Azkatraz without a snark-a-riffic meetup to celebrate the release of Harry Potter and Severus Snape? We're in the works of scheduling one of our patented Snapey convention gatherings right now so apparate on over to our LJ comm and join us. Details about the time, date, and location for the meetup will be decided by June 17, 2009 or earlier.

Although the Professor is only featured for a few seconds in the latest HBP trailer, he certainly makes an impact. In addition to the scenes from previous trailers, the latest tease from the WB features Snape hurling hexes at Harry and darkly uttering the words "it's over" in a way that only Snape can do. We've captured a few screencaps which are available below. Click on the link for the larger versions...

After initially delaying the release of Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince 8 months, Warner Brothers is now giving us one extra day of Snape-ing and releasing the film on July 15, 2009. Unfortunately this may cause some stress for Azkatraz convention goers, many of whom planned their travel around a midnight release on July 17, 2009. HPEF has yet to make a decision to change show times or convention schedules, but they are keeping everyone in the loop.

Snape has expressed extreme displeasure with this situation as it will inevitably inflict an extra day of lunacy upon him. First Warner Brothers ruined his summer vacation plans and now the increase in fangirling that comes with every movie (especially this one) will start one day early. Looks like it's time to break of the fire whiskey.

Snape fans will most certainly be financially impacted by this announcement as those of us who have already bought tickets to the July 17 midnight showing will have to purchase tickets for the new earlier release date. How could we imagine seeing Harry Potter and Severus Snape two days later than everyone else?

Since Episode 27 we've been suspecting that Professor Snape somehow managed to put a curse on our iTunes feed. The International Teaser Trailer for Halfblood Prince has been released and we're pleased to announce that a quick glimpse of Snape is featured! The entire trailer is just over 1 minute and 30 seconds, but Snape is visible at around 1:04....



He's with Draco so perhaps he's on his way to the Astronomy Tower? We also hear Harry saying "Fight back you Coward!" Am I the only one getting excited?
