When Harry has to "sacrifice" himself in Snarry I smile gleefully. He always gets to be pleasantly surprised and rewarded.
Mystery author, I liked the way in which you began this story. There was as sense of mystery to it. The Minister isn't revealed nor how the law was passed or for that matter how Harry has little power even after defeating Voldemort. As I read some things became clearer. I also liked how some of the characters are given their own time to shine (well definitely not Ginny, she was spiteful). Such as Ron being protective, not siding with Ginny and accepting Severus. As for Hermione...you reminded me why I adore her. She has never abandoned him, and she tries to help whenever she can (especially with the whole black pudding scene). The Malfoys are cunning, but they know when they need to return the favor. They certainly make good allies.
As for Severus, he's still witty and you didn't write him as this loathsome man who everyone detest. Rather, you wrote his as this eloquent individual who has friends and is able to at least try and accept the situation he's in. Their relationship was slow and sweet and Severus sounds like the perfect person to teach Harry about the joys of sex. The scenes of Harry being naive but determined when it came to giving ad receiving pleasure was something! The smut was really steamy!
I was really glad to read that you're planning to write a second and maybe third part for this very lovely story.
