Summary: Harry is injured during an auror mission. Someone has always had his back.
A/N: This idea has been sitting around in my noggin for the better part of three years. It was only until the announcement of this fest that a close friend said, "Quit thinking about it and just DO it." Thanks to R for her help with the narrative. For every time I said, "I can't do this" and you said, "Yes, you can", for every time I threw the project in the virtual trashcan and you pulled it out and put it back in my hands, and for every word of encouragement you gave me along the way, O - this is dedicated to you.

Oh my god- this is smacktastically delicious. I don't even know where to begin to say how much I love this. The storyline, the fabulous art. I love the lines and colors. I adore how that bright shiny wedding band stood out in the darkness giving a hint of what was coming. And Harry's eyes! Wow! I cannot wait until Part 2!

Okay, now with THAT bit out of the way...

I cannot get over what a powerful piece this is. I can just FEEL how much pain Harry is in and how anxious Severus feels, despite his calm face. The tenderness of the way he touches Harry is breathtaking. In just a few frames you totally captured pure, all-consuming love, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. It's truly an intense viewing experience. BRAVO!

Oh and there's a part two?! YES CAN'T WAIT! *waves Snarry-a-thon flag*

There are so many things I like about this--the colors, the uncertainty, the characteristic martyr!Harry and sarcastic Snape, and you did wonderful things with their eyes! Looking forward to the conclusion. Well done!

amazing, amazing work, you Snarry genius, you!! love the dark and moody scene, and of course the elegant hawk-like Severus you draw so well, but the emotion in this is just spectacularly done... your beautiful strong Harry, moved to tears, is just love.

Wow! The emotion on Severus' face is amazing; well really, on both of their faces. I felt like I could read into their entire history just with one shared look.

I'm just so captivated by all the images!

Each panel is so well done. You've captured their emotions perfectly. Their gaze, Harry's pain, Snape's anxiety, their ages and how attuned they are to each other. I can't get enough of the rings that they are wearing!

Snape is determined to get through this ordeal together and I can;t wait for the next part.

Wow! All the hard work you put into this really shows! It's both suspenseful and sweet with how much Severus and Harry obviously care for each other. I love their expressions and especially when Severus goes to Harry and holds him. Beautifully done! :D

I am in love with this. My favorite is Severus holding Harry. I love the way they are touching and that Harry's head is on Severus' chest. This is just so beautiful and inspiring, the love you've captured between them. I absolutely adore it and I am waiting anxiously for part 2!

Wow, that's just amazingly well done! I could look at this over and over again (and I think I will!). The story you've told in a series of images is fantastic--you can feel the characters' emotions. And the use of the ring is brilliant. Now, who sent their patronus???? Eagerly looking forward to Part 2!

Oh god, the dire situation, Harry's ridiculous insistence that Severus leave while he's injured, Severus's quiet, sharp worrying, and then the wedding bands! *clutches heart* Cannot wait to see the next bit of this!

This was just incredible. All of the art was just wonderful as was the story but what got me the most was the way you interspersed the small boxes and showed the situation alternating with Severus' eyes, etc. It really conveyed his worry, waiting and the tenseness of the situation very well. Such a beautiful job. I cannot wait for part 2!

Wow! This is magnificent. The dark jewel tones you've used are the perfect backdrop to this dangerous, tense situation. I'm impressed with the details (e.g. the fog, the broken glass, the little buttons on Severus' sexy coat, & the laced up fastenings on Harry's sexy boots). I especially love Severus' & Harry's expressions—so emotional, so very handsome! The wedding rings are gorgeous. I can't wait to see what happens to our valiant heroes in part two! ❤

How GORGEOUS this is, every panel - my favourite I think is when Severus kneels over Harry and Harry looks all angry *melts* Severus is damned masculine and sexy too! So excited for part 2 now x
