Wow, how did I miss this? Good thing they do those wrap-up posts!
I love this story for its elegance and charm. It's a great Snape, with his obsession and his paranoia and his surly relations with the other faculty. A fun Harry, and I totally *adore* stories that feature some odd bit of magical lore or spells. "Wishful Thinking" is such a great name, both a joke and a wizarding-world reality, like so many of JKR's clever names. The story of Ron and Ginny is utterly sweet!
Most of all, though, I was drawn in by this story's deft, graceful writing, that carries it along as smoothly as Snape sliding around the hallway corners on patrol. The style seems perfect for its fairy-tale like feeling. It's also perfect for the moral told at the end: that when it comes to Harry, Snape will be drawn in magically and so smoothly that it's just like a dream. One with a very happy ending! :D :D :D
