Absolutely lovely! Both of them so beautifully characterized, and thank you for the brilliant glimpses of other canon characters, too. (Poppy!! **hugs**)
I love Snape's slow progression from touching, to hugging, to snogging. And Harry's seeming to take no notice of this, as he goes off "drinking and drabbing" from time to time. But this Harry, who blends in so well with Muggles and is so understatedly competent as an Auror, does this Harry know where things are headed? Hee. Slowly, as stealthily as a Slytherin, he moves things forward in his own way.
“Good night, Severus.”
“I shall let you know,” Snape said, waspish and turning away again, “when you may call me that.”
Harry grinned. One hundred percent reliable, that was Snape. Their son was going to have an interesting childhood.
Oh yes, Harry can figure out what's going on.
Sequel, sequel! *jumps up and down excitedly*
Your writing was every bit as delightful to read as the characters and story.
Potter was a sesquipedalian of irritants; in the arena of annoyance he punched far above his weight. He was foolish, ill-informed, poorly dressed, and could not keep his blasted cheerfulness decently under wraps.
He was also more graceful than Severus remembered...
OMG, I loved the UST oozing from all their many exchanges, and your gorgeously lush and spikey-edged prose. I can't wait to read more by you, O loveliest of authors!
