Snarry-A-Thon FIC: The Man Who
Title: The Man Who
Author: [info]dementordelta
Rating: Adult
Word count: 11,000
Warning(s): (highlight for spoilers) *Not Epilogue Compliant, world's worst cross-dressing.*
Prompt: Prompt #58: Charity auction -- who wouldn't pay tons of galleons for a couple of evenings with Harry Potter? Harry's very reluctant to be auctioned off, but does it for the charity. He convinces Snape to save him from the crazy fangirls by bribing him and giving him his own money for the bidding. Of course, since Harry knows Snape doesn't particularly like him, he assumes Snape won't claim the evenings together that he's "won", and is naturally very surprised when Snape does.
Summary: Sometimes a binding magical contract is just a binding magical contract.
A/N: Beta readers, [info]cruisedirector and [info]swtalmnd, who will be showered with love once the reveals are up.

Most excellent work! I like Severus' great Aunt and how she knew Harry was a boy, lol. The auction was most amusing too. Well done!~Sophia

This was incredibly charming. I loved the wealth of little details like the winged-sneaker goblin and the sock-growing spell. Adorable!

Wonderful story!I loved Aunt Voila and i don't think she's anywhere near close to dying as she's pretending to be with the help of her lovely goblin maid!

Ahahahaha! That was wonderful! *g*
The way Hermione (and Snape) managed to manipulate Harry into the auction was perfect. I loved sexy!Charlie being ogled by Severus (and that it upset Harry *g*) and, as others have said, all the little details were delightful. Aunt Viola is a HOOT. Such a smart old lady.
Thank you for this. It made a bad morning better. :)
Well done!

Charmingly sweet. I'm glad to see this kind of classic Snarry light romance in this fest. It's like chocolate (really tasty organic Fair Trade chocolate with goodies in it) -- not enough to live on entirely, but so enjoyable to try. :-) I particularly enjoyed the many little humorous asides and details in this, and the dialogue, which brought the main characters vividly to life.

Delightful romance! I liked the glimpses of their backstory at St Mungo's, too.

Lovely! I like how all the other bachelors went so over the top, Severus deciding to use his own Galleons, Aunt Viola's little chat with Harry, and the bits of backstory about Harry staying with Severus at St. Mungo's. Yummy smex! Great job.

Let me just say that I am soooo happy this prompt showed up and that this story was EXACTLY what I was hoping to get from it. There were so many hilarious moments, from Harry getting dressed before the auction on down to Aunt Viola. This is going in my favorites folder to be read whenever I need some cheering up. Great job!

Oh, I love this story! It combined two of my favorite ideas: Harry being sold at auction and Severus pretending to be engaged to appease a family member. Aunt Viola was a hoot. A very enjoyable read.

Oh, lovely! I adore that Harry is a little bit petty.

"Your aunt's a goblin?"

*gigglesnort*

Loved Severus' clumsy kisses. This was great!

Delightful story!

It was amusing and sweet and touching. I really liked how much Severus knew about Harry's caring for him in the hospital, and how Harry became the phantom fiancee in his tales to his aunt.

Harry's mantra "more than Neville" was too funny! He didn't want to be in the auction, but once in it, he didn't want to be humiliated by not fetching a good price. His satisfaction that Neville out-performed Draco's price was sweet and just a little snarky!

Severus' affection for his aunt, and his insecurity about outing himself was endearing, and Harry in a dress was hot!!!! I adored his bits overwhelming the lace knickers!
