Snarry-A-Thon FIC: Papa Mia
Title: Papa Mia
Author: [info]alisanne
Other pairings/threesome: Sky/Eileen (OCs), past Shacklebolt/Snape and Lupin/Snape implied.
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 15,620
Warning(s): (highlight for spoilers) *AU, filk, somewhat sexually irresponsible Snape.*
Prompt: #110: Mamma Mia Snarry!
Summary: Every girl wants her father at her wedding, but what if you have three possible fathers? Then you have to get creative.
A/N: Thank you to my wonderful beta readers, E and S, and to E for all the help with filking the lyrics (we had so much fun!). All lyrics are in italics and are (for the most part) the ones composed by the rock group ABBA. The lyrics to “Dancing Queen” and “Our Last Summer”, however, have been filked to the tune of the original songs.

Papa Mia

I think that I might have actually damaged something I was laughing so much!! So very well done!! I will never be able to watch the film again now without thinking of this story

"See that man, watch him mince! He is the Half-Blood Prince!"

*dies laughing*

After I finished, I played Dancing Queen loudly, and sung your lyrics to my fiancee.

He hates you, but I love you :D Thank you so much!

In all seriousness, this story was so awesome! Great Job!

There were so many wonderful touches you added to this incredibly funny and sweet story. I especially loved pervy ghost Albus. I about died laughing when he said that the wards keeping him out wouldn't last forever!

while being someone who has lived under a rock, or at least one that blocks things like Mama Mia, I haven't seen the play or movie, so I can't comment on how true it was to that. I can however, comment on the snarry =) which was lovely. I truly enjoyed Lucius' role in the fic as well the the rewrite of the lyrics to Dancing Queen. Well done.

Haha... laughed all the way through this lovely adaptation of the play and movie (both of which I loved). I first laughed at the line about Severus being the "mother of the bride" and couldn't stop. You did great job of rewriting the song lyrics. Fabu job! cb

Oh, this is genius! I love that Eileen has a terrible voice. And Lucius, with his unintentional references to Bad Things. Totally hilarious. Great job!

I laughed throughout this story, I thought Lucius was hilarious doing his version of *Dancing Queen* and Albus being a ghost was an inspiration, especially him being warded out of the bedroom at the end, really really enjoyed this.

Great story-Eileen definitely takes after both her fathers. ;) I haven't seen the movie but now I may have to. I don't think I'll ever recover from imagining Severus and Lucius especially breaking into song! Nice work.

'Half-Blood Prince, so intense, wants to teach Defence, oh yeah!'

That is hillarious! Parodies aren't usually thing but I have 2 weaknesses -
1. any film with Meryl Streep
and
2. SNARRY! <3

Really enjoyed this.

I haven't seen the movie (now I have to) but this story was so much fun, and it felt like it really should be a movie, it was so visual. Severus...I love him as a father...but singing??? LOL It was all great with the lyrics and all, so much fun!! I do feel bad for 20 years wasted...though Harry, I suppose, produced those kids of his...but he and Severus could have been together so much sooner... I like how there are sparks flying between them as soon as they meet, even after 20 years there is this huge attraction *sighs happily*

This is too, too funny! I just adore the image of Lucius singing of Death Eater revels to the tune of "Dancing Queen!"

The idea that Eileen's horrible singing voice had the same power to coerce as a Siren's was delicious!

Beautifully done!

I adored this. I read it. I recced it. I read it again!

It's better than the movie, with this crazy cast of familiar characters, carrying on in full operatic fashion! I love the OC's, especially the priestess, but even more I love Lucius, and voyeuristic Albus, and the two of them singing "Watch him mince, he is the Half-Blood Prince! while poor Severus frantically says, Finite Incantatem! ROFL.

Also, Eileen and her reluctant audience, always trying to shush her ... PURE WIN.

I had opened a Youtube of every song as I came to it so I could enjoy it more. I don't know if you were going to add a playlist, so I pasted my own list of the 15 songs (that I identified - do tell me if I messed it up!) with links to Youtube vids of them, here at my IJ.

I enjoy this fic more each time I listen to the songs - or sing along with the Mincing Queen. Lucius was such an inspired pick for this role. I'm seeing him in satin and sequins at Eurovision, singing into a silvery snake-headed microphone. Harry at the keyboard, Snape singing a snarky harmony while dancing with his guitar, Eileen on drums, all backed by a chorus line of Albus, Remus, and Shacklebolt. (Talk about an eyeful.)

Hilarious, light-hearted and fittingly goofy. I’ve always liked ABBA, and “Mamma Mia” was okay, but the parts I enjoyed the most in your story were the ones close to the HP Universe. For example, the girls’ carefree cluelessness about the war and its heroes and villains was refreshing and fun:

"Mmm, Harry," Lisa sighed. "Sexy name. Hey, haven't I heard that name before? Wasn't Harry Potter a war hero or something?"
Ali shrugged. "It's probably not the same guy; that's a common name, after all.

Lucius kept bringing up a group he and Severus had been in—the Death Eaters or some such thing, and since it sounded like a heavy metal band, Eileen teased them mercilessly about it.

Like Eileen, I felt unable to resist your Lucius. He was ever so charming even - or should I say especially - when enthusing about the ”good old days”: "Snap out of it, Severus! Remember the height of your power, when you were the Dark Lord's right-hand man!" Albus cleared his throat and Lucius flushed as he mumbled something apologetic.

*giggles* Severus’ friends were so much fun.
