Summary: The Muggle world has the Nobel Prize, Pulitzers, Oscars and a host of other prestigious awards and ceremonies. The Wizarding World has the H.E.R.O.s. It’s a black-tie affair, sponsored by the Ministry and the designer-turned team of Malfoy & Malfoy, and featuring A-list nominees, golden orbs and purple carpet – even in the lifts. When Severus Snape and Harry Potter – who’ve spent the eight years since the Final Battle pushing each other’s buttons - are both nominated for Humanitarian Achievement of the Year, they finally begin to see that appearances are just skin deep and there’s more to the other than each realized.

I like the slow build to that searing scene in the lift, the differences our boys have to work through, the ending. But I absolutely love the Harry - Ginny scene, Severus goading Harry to do something with his life, albeit in a very Slytherin fashion, and Harry responding to his goading. And Harry finally working out what the problem was, and, as I said, that lift scene! Beautifully written, and lovely dialogue.

I really enjoyed reading your story, Mystery Author. Love the idea of the H.E.R.O awards as a means for Harry and Snape to prove themselves, yet having to suffer the accompanying events. The conversation on the balcony was really well done: when one's past hurts are uncovered, they are often surprising to others, so this seemed very authentic to me. I will also admit a huge liking for Severus in his reading glasses at Harry's table and his matter-of-fact suggestion. Just so comfortable together and ready to move forward. Also, kudos to you for your Ginny here; she's a true friend. I'll be re-reading this one again.

	Lovely fic. I really enjoyed the banter between Harry and Ginny, the way Severus and Harry danced around each other for so long--communication between these two has always been a challenge LOL, the absolutely scorching sex in the lift, as well as their fantastic stepping out scene at the end. :D Nicely done. Loved this. It felt so comfortable, like a favorite sweater or comfy chair. Thank you for not bashing Ginny, but rather making her an interesting and supportive friend. Loved the notion of the awards ceremony, the Malfoy & Malfoy robe business, a vulnerable and stung Severus who got back at Harry in a very IC way, and the hot elevator sex -- and Percy getting all annoyed at the delay, and his companion sniffing the air. Yes, madam, that is spunk you're smelling. Enjoy your ride up! Bwahaha. Thanks for such a thoroughly enjoyable fic.
