So, yes, I may have already had a chance to read this. Because it was my own personal WiP for nine months. I'm so glad that it's out in the world now, and with amazing art to accompany it. This is such an enjoyable story, plotty, but with these lovely moments that take my breath away (the charming of the ceiling... that first time together... Harry in the hallway on his way to the Hospital Wing (for some reason, I really, really love that little thing)); yet, it also has big moments that are equally breathtaking in their own way, not limited to the denouement of the story (which I've always loved). In particular, the 'trial' simply works for me - I'm a complete sucker for 'everyone-learns-everything' scenes, and this one is so satisfying. You should feel so accomplished - I know how hard you worked to bring this all together, and I really love it.
The artists have created such lovely accompaniments to the story, and it was so exciting to see them yesterday! Andreanna's depiction of the charming of the ceiling is nothing like I would have imagined, and yet it's so beautiful and captures Snape's isolation perfectly. The use of shadow here was especially inspired. And Tripperfunster's lovely, human moments capture the changes that Harry and Snape undergo throughout perfectly; both are beautiful, although I do have an especial fondness for Snape holding his daughter for the first time. Beautiful work, both of you.
