Mary Maria was only a Snape by marriage, but one wouldn't have known it by her appearance, expression, and ability to see the flaws in everything. She'd harumphed when introduced to Remus, claimed to be somewhat deaf, then turned to Severus and asked, loudly, where he'd been the last few years and why couldn't he bring a nice girl who knew how to cook?
"Don't pay her any mind," murmured Gemma. "She's a fine one to talk."
Remus stared at the huge, quivering lime green jelly, a few etiolated grapes visible in its depths. "I can't argue with that."
