Title: Healthy Alternatives, V
Challenge: The Great Hall - Welcoming Feast
Word Count: 100
Note: this is yet another Motherless Child drabble series, set about two months after Snape and Lupin have adopted their werewolf son, John.

"Why isn't the food organic?"

Severus rolled his eyes at Remus' question. The faculty had managed to restore some semblance of calm, but that did not solve the problem of Parthenope Goyle's hunger strike until she got her thrice-damned wheat grass "power smoothie."

"What makes you think it isn't?" Severus watched as Remus put the baby down in the portable cot by the Head of Slytherin's massive bed. "It's not as if the farm elves use Muggle insecticides on the kitchen gardens."

"Then why - "

"Remus." Severus patted the mattress. "Later."

His husband smiled and joined him. "Excellent idea."

The fact that Parthenope Goyle, of all people, is on a hunger strike for wheat grass power smoothies tickles me pink! Has she actually ever tasted one?
