Now every day can be Smutday!

Well, by the time you see this it will be December 2nd, but we're going to pretend for a bit, okay? Because I was so relaxed over the fact that I finished my mini_nanowrimo project, that I didn't even think about the fact that it's now December, and that means it's time for our traditional December celebrations: at least one picture a day (and at least one penis picture a day for the NC17 folks) for the entire month of December.

Knowing me, a few of them (like today's) will be late, but it's the thought that counts, right? So there will be at least two posts dedicated to each day from me for the entire month of December. Some may be short, and some will be filled with pictures, but there will be something for every day of the month.

And since this is the month of Holidays, I thought that Decorations might be a good idea for the theme...

Decorative: attractive - serving merely to look attractive rather than having a functional purpose.

I like that. So that's what we're going to concentrate on this month. The ornamental, the embellishments, the things that look make something look pretty. For that matter, the human body can look pretty without an embellishments at all, but we're going to see if we can manage to decorate it this month. Just for fun. And I'd love it if you joined in, so if you have any decorative pics to share, please feel free to post at any time!

That can mean clothing, leather, ropes, jewelry, ribbons, latex, paint, tattoos, spangles...there are tons of ways to decorate the body, and we're going to celebrate them all. So I brought an assortment of decorative ideas for today's post, just to get us in the mood.

Damn that sleeping disorder, I slept right through Halloween! And I had lots to share with you, too. Well, it's only a little after midnight...it's still mostly Halloween, right? Well, I've been working on these Merpeople since last Wednesday - took me a week, but I'm finally getting them up. There are a lot of Mermaids out there, guys. You'd be amazed. I know I was. It was a lot harder to find Mermen, but I found enough to keep you interested, I think. 

You'll see some names repeating themselves a lot in the next three posts.  Some artists really stood out.  Any one you want to see more of, or would like to see their websites - just ask, I'll be glad to share what I've got.  And the work was so incredibly detailed on some of these - I had to leave the art as large as I could get it, so click on the pics, and you'll be able to get to larger sizes of many of them.

Hey guys! I'm finishing up with the posts I had started but never completed for August, so here are some Destinations for you. In July we talked about how to get someplace for your holiday, and now we're all about where you were going. As part of this month's Travel theme, I decided we'd take some fresh air, and see the natural beauty around us. So we're gonna go "Natural," and see what happens. Not too long ago, I posted some art by Anthony Christian and his students. As a matter of fact, the icon I'm using in this post is from a painting featured in that post. Well, Anthony is back on his own for humor month with a series of paintings with the subject of...Bread. I'm guessing some of this comes from living in France - it seems that since he's moved there he's become convinced that bread is an extremely erotic subject. Looking at these paintings, I can't say I disagree. But they also show a good deal of his sense of humor which, if you look at his website and the names of his paintings, leans rather far in the direction of puns.

Yeah, right.

Nothing wrong with Heterosexual content - I post it all the time, and - don't faint or anything - but I've even written a bit of it. (Shocking as it may seem to those who know me exclusively as a slash writer.) But our Community was founded on, and will always have a strong Gay Male bias, and if the choice actually was between going exclusively Het and closing down the comm, I'd have closed it the day I received the notice.

Nobody has the right to force that kind of thing on anyone. And I wouldn't put up with it for a second. So yeah. There was no letter, I did not make a poll, and nobody voted to make the Comm Het. It was all my wild imagination - well, with a little help from my partner in crime, ozsaur. That naughty, naughty girl.

And since the theme of the month is Humor, it just seemed to fit right in. So laugh it up, guys - all month long. I'd love to see a ton of humorous stories and pics posted this month - it doesn't matter if the subject matter was intended to be humorous or not - as long as it's funny/smutty (and not offensive or cruel), I'd love to see it. Take this pic for instance...it makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Since it is officially Wednesday, it's time for my regular weekly posts already. I've got some great NC17 smutty humor coming up. (Heh. She said coming...) Speaking of members, I'm sorry to admit it, but LJ's Smutday lost five members and one friend on April 1st, and Insane Smutday lost two...so obviously some people didn't get the joke - or didn't think it was funny. Oops. Didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings or anything. To tell the truth, people show up and drop out of both Comms on a very regular basis, so it's hard to keep track of sometimes, but I just added a new member to both Comms the day before yesterday, so I noticed the size of the list, and yesterday's drop in members was much more dramatic than normal.

So if I upset or offended you - sorry. You're welcome to come back, anytime. In the meantime, those of you still here can enjoy the funny bits under the cut.

I usually try to re-write any LJ specific content when I post here on Insane Smutday, but today I'm just gonna let the post I wrote there speak for itself. I'm just really glad we have Insane Journal - it will be a place of refuge for me in the months to come. Thanks, guys.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll last week, and all the comments I've received over the last month or so, I've decided it's time for a change. The letter from Live Journal was a major consideration, of course. If LJ is changing their policies again there's not much we can do about it. The choices are to leave Live Journal all together, or start posting more heterosexual content, and you the members have decided. It's time for a change.

So as of today, Smutday will be an all het journal. That's right, all het, all the time. Please remember when posting that we no longer allow gay male content. However, lesbian content is still acceptable. I know it's a big change, but it's important that we keep to the new guidelines if we want Smutday to survive.

Thanks to everyone for their support in the last few weeks while we decided what to do - your comments and encouragement have been a great help to me. I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to support my final decisions. You guys have been great.

Yeah, that's right...it's almost the middle of the month, and I've just gotten around to announcing the Theme of the Month!  I'm so bad...  Sorry.  I guess its a good thing the theme is Free For All - so pretty much anything anyone has posted will fit right in!  So if you have something you've been thinking about posting, but just didn't know where or when to fit it in?  Now's your chance!  Go for it.

And here's my first Free For All Post - anonymous or unknown artists.  I don't have the names for any of the artists and photographers in this post.  Some were probably intended to be anonymous from the start, like the erotic paintings I have here from the beginning of the 20th century - it just wasn't done to paint that kind of stuff, you know? 

But others probably have an artist's or photographer's name that should be attached to them, and I just don't know it.  So if you recognize them, let me know, so I can attribute the art to the proper source.  At least one even has a name, but its too small for me to read.  But even if you don't recognize them, you can definitely enjoy them...I did.

There will be two posts after this one - I found a great photographic e-book this last weekend, and it makes a perfect match to this set of oil paintings I found a few months ago...so our NC17 rated posts for the night are going to be close ups...of private parts.  And I mean really, really close up!  I'll be posting them right after this.

Well, I'm not getting myself together too fast, here...I'm late for my traditional Wednesday post, and I still haven't announced this month's theme.  And besides, I didn't get my last Romance post in before the end of February - let's blame that on the fact that February is a short month, and pretend we didn't have an extra day or anything, okay?  (I'm very good at ignoring the facts when they get in my way, if you know what I mean...)

So before I announce March's theme, I'm going to make two last posts.  This one is rather large - and it's all about The Kiss.  As a matter of fact, probably a third of the titles have the word "kiss" in them somewhere.  Sort of gives you an idea of exactly how important the actual act is, you know?  And how enjoyable.  So sit back and relax - and enjoy The Kiss.

I haven't been able to find any info on Dolcette - there's a guy out there that makes line drawings/cartoon style pics with that name, but the style is radically different, and I really don't think it's the same person. (He happens to be into cannibalism, so don't expect me to feature his work here - although it could show up on an Insane Thursday post...eh - possibly. I have to admit, it's not a subject I find even remotely appealing, but to each their own, right?)

In any event - I'm showing the complete set of Dolcette paintings I have, despite the fact that one or two of them have been shown before. There was enough interest in seeing more to convince me to show them all, so here they are, guys. The tattoo work and the rope work is beautiful, and visually, I don't think any of the scenes goes past an R rating. But I think a few of the paintings border on the sexually aggressive side, and could be construed as dubious consent, so keep that in mind when you click.

To be honest, if I'd gotten my crap together in time, this post would have happened yesterday - as a supplement to the non/dubcon posts I still haven't made for Insane Thursday. It's not quite there, which is why I'm okay with putting it out today instead, but want everyone to know that this one is close to the edge.

BTW - there will be an NC17 rated post right after this one...I started it for Wednesday, but couldn't get my shit together in time to get it finished. So I'm posting it now. Yay for more bondage!!!

Welcome to Orgasm Day here at smutday. I don't know about you, but I've been working on my orgasms already this morning. I'm sure some of you may be a bit hung over, but I didn't drink last night, so I had plenty of energy to spend on...other things.

And tomorrow is my birthday - I wanted to do something special, but I haven't come up with anything I really like. It is handy that tomorrow is Friday...never a bad thing when you birthday falls on Fetish Friday. *g* So, any suggestions? What should I do for tomorrow? Something weird? Something old like me?
