Regulus Black isn’t afraid of anything. He is, after all, a Black, and, as such, has nothing to fear. The spiders in the deep corners of the house don’t frighten him. The muggles next door, though very queer, don’t frighten him. The tree in the backyard that casts menacing shadows into his room at night most certainly doesn’t frighten him. Even Sirius’ attempts have started failing in a fashion that’s quite laughable. However, whenever he hears the high shriek from the parlour, his flesh crawls, his cheeks pale, and he can’t help but wonder if his mother isn’t part monster.
