Mostly copypasta'd and edited from the main comm, so 99% of you reading this should be familiar. Basically: be nice! This is a shared community after all.

۞ Rule #1! No god-moding. Period. If it’s an action that directly relies on the other character’s reaction to succeed, you should probably ask for permission.

۞ If you have a problem with someone, please talk to them before approaching the mod(s). We're all here to have a good time, and most people are pretty reasonable.

۞ It is not acceptable, intentionally or otherwise, to pose an unreasonable obstruction to the fun of others. Everyone in this comm has the basic right of fun in whatever they do. We are all here to partake of the pretendy funtime, because the pretendy time is fun to us. It is possible to be following the letter of all these rules, and yet still infringe upon the play of others. The mod(s) reserve the right to object to and/or attempt to correct behavior not explicitly laid out on this page which is still making play difficult, frustrating or unfun for your fellow players. If there is another player who is doing something not explicitly against the rules, yet is still making your pretendy funtime be pretendy unfuntime, you are welcome to bring it to the mod(s). We will be happy to help you problem solve and/or mediate as necessary.

۞ Again: all players are entitled to their share of fun. Please keep this in mind at all times, especially in situations that require some level of compromise, like high-stakes threads (fight scenes etc.), team dynamics, IC drama levels, and other things that impact more than just your character.

۞ What is SLT Antiqua?

SLT Antiqua is a spinoff sandbox community of the LJRP sabra_la_tau, meant to host RP threads, fanfic, fanart, essays, rambles and miscellaneous stuff from the body of creative output of the Old Sabra story arc and lore that came out of the December 2010 event. Can be considered a fanworks comm for the established canon that is SLT.

۞ What is Old Sabra/Old!Sabra?

Old Sabra refers to the original period of history of the world of Sabra La Tau, during which the surface was populated, unknown centuries (or millennia) before the present day in which the main game is set.

In this era, many countries and nations existed whose names would later be incorporated into the "teams" of Sabra. Each of these had their unique histories and cultures, much of which would be lost to time. Individuals also lived in this era who bore varying degrees of resemblance to many a Blank of the present generation.

۞ Who are the characters in this world, and what's with the strange names to familiar fandom character faces?

They're AU versions of existing/past Blanks in SLT (and other characters); versions that were born and lived in this world.

۞ Who came up with these AUs?

It was a collaborative effort! The mods originally provided little hints and frameworks for some characters that were then built on by the players themselves.

۞ Can I play/use as an NPC/refer to Old Sabra versions of characters that weren't in the December event/in Sabra at all before that/only came after?

YES.

۞ Can I make up backstory for my own character/flesh out more details for a country/write lore about the adventures of Buckleferry Hinn down the Aquilon River?

Yes, yes, yes. In fact, it's encouraged that you throw around ideas with others and look through the existing stuff people have come up with and build up even more of the heck out of it!

۞ Is there a hard and fast "canon" to follow?

There is a sizable chunk of worldbuilding stuff that was written in December, but there's an enormous amount of room for the fleshing out of details that are honestly entirely up to your imagination.

۞ Will any of this be canon in the main game's storyline?

Beyond what was already established during the December event, no. This is a sandbox.
