ADMIN: that deletion
Probably nobody noticed, but this comm was briefly deleted by IJ due to inactivity. I reactivated this comm, even though it turns out that I fail at posting regular exercises, because I think the ones posted in the past might still be interesting for others coming across them only now. And who knows, maybe I'll revive this one day.

The WTF? moment came into this because the notice told me that this account was inactive for "over two years", which considering I posted last in November 2007 is blatantly wrong. I can see why they have this policy to purge inactive accounts to preserve ressources, and they send a notice allowing you to undo it after all, but that their emails can't count months is kind of ridiculous. (ETA: Ah, I just saw the post in announcements that the actual date they counted activity from was January 1, 2008. Well, it still made their notice sound stupid.)
