Skywalker Sound: The Lyrics Community
Located in Marin County, California, Skywalker Sound is one of the largest, most versatile full-service audio post-production facilities in the industry. The use of a digital audio tie-line can link the facility to locations in a fashion never before possible. The digital audio is transmitted via a T-1 digital telephone circuit and is synchronized with the film projectors, allowing filmmakers in distant locations to listen to soundtracks being completed in northern California, and vice versa. This also provides the client with the opportunity to effectively work in any location during the mix. To further enhance the creative and technical uses of film and tape, Skywalker Sound also takes advantage of the achievements of the other Lucas Digital division, Industrial Light & Magic, as well as Lucasfilm's THX Division. Skywalker Sound offers comprehensive post-production services and utilizes the talents of Academy Award-winning sound professionals.
