Did anyone know there was a short person support group?

I like their motto: "Attitude determines altitude."

I'm having a fun time poking about, reading articles and thought others might enjoy this place.

Interesting. Though it makes me wonder, how short is short? I mean, I know I'd qualify because it tends to be the first thing people say when they meet me, but I've never actually considered it a problem.

At a whopping 4'11", I tend to be the shortest person at a gathering. My lovely step-daughter once pointed out I am 3 inches too tall to qualify for 'disability' because of height, or lack thereof.

I'm a bit taller, but not much. I always get an odd mix of people who've known me for years trying to tell me I'm taller than I am and people who have just met me who are surprised at how short I am. I always find it funny how no one hesitates to mention I'm short, but I can't even imagine they would mention if someone were fat or had big boobs.

I've had my vast tracks of hills and valleys mentioned by strangers. In the past I have been called "short and round" I have also been told I have lovely eyes by someone who mistook the color of my shirt for my eye color.
Rude behavior and odd comments should no longer upset or annoy me. However, I still find rudeness to be inexcusable.
