George knocked at the door to the small building Hestia had directed him to meet her at. The ad had caught his attention as a good way to distract himself. The business would take care of itself for now, and he could actually try to forget, even for a bit.

He just hoped he could convince Hes that he was worth bringing on.

Hess had never worked with George Weasley before, even though they had come and gone from the OOTP headquarters during the war. She had heard of his reputation of late, however, and was a little uncertain about taking him on as an employee. He was the only one to have responded to her ad, however, which made her a little less picky than if she'd had many people to choose from. She was determined to give him a fair chance during his interview.

When he knocked on the door to the building that would be the headquarters, she picked up her wand, and flicked it at the door. "Enter!" she called out as the door opened. She remained seated at a small table in the centre of the room while George walked over towards her.

"So...you must be George Weasley," she said in greeting before pointing to the chair across from her. "Please, have a seat."

When George was sitting down, she cleared her throat. "So..." she began. She'd never interviewed anybody before, and was quite unsure of how to do it. "Let me start by explaining what this job is before we go any further. I am going to be starting up a bounty hunting business, you know, to catch escaped Death Eaters and other criminals. I need people who can help me catch them and bring them into custody. Do you think this is something you'd be interested in or able to do?"

George smirked at the question. "Well, Fred and I..." He cleared his throat. "We helped Harry even before the Order was brought back together. So we've loads of experience...um...I've loads of experience, I mean. Shouldn't be too tough, right? I mean, I know the names, I've battle experience...what else do you need?" He let his smirk widen into a grin, hoping that would reassure her.

Hess smiled and nodded her head. "I understand that you have battle experience, which is a very good thing, but...fighting one-on-one, in even hand-to-hand combat situations can be very different. Apprehending a person who has nothing to lose and everything to gain by ridding him or herself of us, is much more difficult than you might expect. Have you ever been in any fights or anything like that? Wands are all well and good, but you have to be able to fight with your fists too, on occasion. Is that something you'd be comfortable with?"

Okay, so maybe they hadn't worked together in the Order much, but even so...

"Well, I'd say I got plenty of that in the Final Battle, just like everyone else," his words were a bit sober, remembering just what he'd lost in that battle.

"Look, if you don't want me, just say so. I'll go find another job."

"No, don't go!" Hess cried before clearing her throat and composing herself again. "I mean...You do seem competent, and willing to do the job. So...you're hired. It'll be on a trial basis for the first few bounties, and if it works out, I'll hire you permanently. I have rooms here if you need a place to stay, though you don't have to if you don't want to. When can you start?" She hoped she didn't sound too desperate, but she needed the help and George was willing.

Raising an eyebrow, George settled in his seat again. Looked like Hess was a bit more desperate than he'd realized.

"Depends. Got to have a change of clothes or two. And I'd like a contract detailing duties." Not that he wouldn't break any rules she might make, but at least he'd like to know what would be expected of him so that he wouldn't be blindsided by that sort of thing...

"And...how much does this pay?" he asked, a grin tickling the corner of his lips now.

"Oh, I would insist on a contract, as well as a liability waiver...And as for payment, we'd split the bounty, however much it is, equally between everybody who helps on the hunt. I hope to hire on two more people, so it would be split four ways," Hess replied, beginning to feel more confident that he might actually stay. "Why don't you go home and pack up while I draw up a contract? We can work out the details, sign it and then have it notarized. Then you could move in. How does that sound?"

The devil niggled at George, and he couldn't resist. "And if I don't like the contract? I mean...maybe we won't agree? And are you really offering twenty-five percent per capture?

"Yes, twenty five percent per capture, assuming that I hire two others. And what issues would you not agree with? Unless you have problems working for or taking orders from a woman, there shouldn't be a problem. No drinking on the job, no drugs on the job, you do that on your own time, if at all. No parties during the week and quiet hours in the house are between ten at night until nine in the morning, every day. You don't want to be around me if I haven't gotten a good night's sleep. Besides, a lot of our work will take place at night. You take all necessary safety precautions on every hunt--no exceptions. You look out for your fellow hunters, up to and including calling the hunt off and letting the person get away. You will be responsible for cooking meals one day a week as well as cleaning your room and bathroom, and doing your own laundry. You can do with your money whatever you like, but I would suggest investing much of it in the bank where it could earn interest to pay off the many healing bills we'll be incurring. Are those things you would have a problem with?"

Hess stopped and took a deep breath after finishing her speech. She looked George straight in the eye and raised her eyebrows inquisitively, waiting to see what he'd say to her rules.

George waved all that off. "Right, right. Sounds good. I'll just go home and grab a few things, shall I?"

It wasn't that he didn't care...except, well...he didn't. Even the money wasn't really a big deal. He just wanted to be sure he knew how much he was getting.

He stood up. "I'll see you soon, then."

The woman who had answered his owl had said to meet her here. and while Blaise wasn't too sure about this--it was a very rundown building--he needed something to do. One could only party so long before one got bored. Besides. He needed a little excitement in his life. Something aside from running away from clingy exes, or worse, the exes (or not-so-exes) of those he deigned to sleep with.

He knocked at the door, hoping the place would look better inside.

Hess waved her wand at the sound of the knock, and the door flung open. "Come in!" she called out. This was an interview she hoped would go better than her first. But now that the first was well under her belt, it should go better. She knew this Blaise Zabini person had been a Slytherin at school, and would no doubt look down on everything. She wasn't even sure why he was applying for the job, since most of the people they'd be hunting would be from his former house. Not all, of course, but most.

She watched as he looked around the room with disdain. Yes it was a mess still, but she hadn't had time to fix it up yet. When it was all done, though, it would be a fine-looking establishment. She saw him wrinkle his nose, and walk over to her.

"You must be Blaise?" Hess asked while holding out her hand to shake his. "I'm Hestia Jones, thank you for coming."
