ABOUT

Following the Great Harry Potter Fandom Exodus from Livejournal 2007, I went ahead and decided to create a community on InsaneJournal, finding its platform similar. This community is analogous to the Livejournal, except now I don't have to log out and in every time I want to update it.
In this journal, you'll most likely find fics (or updates about the progress of said fics) and artwork. Fics will generally remain in the R category (mostly for "mature" or "dark" themes, sometimes language and/or sexual content), but artwork can range anywhere from G to a strong R.

a deranged RAVENCLAW

I first got my grubby little hands on Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when I was twelve years old in 1997 and it has been a temptestuous and tumultuous love affair ever since. I "officially" joined fandom in 1999, but primarily as a lurker and devourer of fanfiction until I tentatively began to write my own. I call myself neither fanfic writer or fanartist, but I do produce works in both areas.

I love a little bit of everything, but my especial affection belongs to the Marauders and Cho Chang. Why? I couldn't possibly tell you. I conflate the Marauders with glam rockers and Cho Chang with myself in my head. I also nurse a huge soft spot for Harry himself.

SHIPPING

All items must be packaged and handled correctly---oops, I mean, I will pretty much read/write the entire gamut of HP ships, canon or fanon. The one exception to this rule is Harry/Ginny and I know I'll be slain by everyone out there, but I simply cannot stand that ship. It makes me spasm in my chair with hatred. Canon-readers, yes, I know that Ginny represents all that he lost and stood to gain with the defeat of Voldemort, but I hate how the relationship was executed in the books. It has subsequently soured my appetite against them. And I hate Ginny. A lot.

Aside from that, I do have ship preferences, although good writing could always convince me otherwise. My favourite ships (in no particular order) are:
01. POST-HOGWARTS Harry/Hermione
02. Ginny/Cho
03. Cho/Fleur
04. Harry/Draco (although with some reservation against how vogue the ship is now)
05. Luna/Neville

 06. MARAUDERS-ERA Sirius/James
07. Sirius/Remus
08. Ginny/Draco
09. Harry/Ron/Hermione
10. Anything with minor characters
