Summary: A little something for lemondropseven, who has been frustrated by the inordinate amount of snucius that’s been floating around lately. *grin* Crack.

“Avada kedavra!” Severus incanted, and Lucius fell to the ground, dead.
Harry blinked. “Did you just kill him?”
“Yes,” Severus replied simply, pocketing his wand. “He had it coming.”
“But…he was on our side.”
“He’d have liked you to think that, yes.”
“No, he was! Remember last week when he tipped us off about the poison in your goblet?”
“He probably put it there in the first place.”
“And the week before that, when he told us Voldemort was going to set fire to that orphanage—”
“Pure strategy, to try and get into our good graces.”
“Or the week before that, when he caught his own son using the cruciatus on a muggleborn student and had him arrested—”
“He didn’t want the brat underfoot any more than we did.”
“So—what? You caught him doing something that would prove he’s not on our side?”
“In a manner of speaking.”
“Severus!”
“It’s his own fault, really. You would think it common sense to not inform a man that you have designs on his lover.”
Harry’s jaw dropped. “You would do well to tell the rest of the castle to stay away from you for the foreseeable future,” Severus replied, stepping over Lucius’ corpse and heading for the door. “Clearly I don’t do well with jealousy.”
