Summary: Harry and Severus move somewhere new.
A/N: For atypicalsnowman, who is moving into a brand new apartment as we speak. *hugs* Congratulations! Thanks go to faeryqueen07 for the beta.

Harry lifted the last of the books from the box, and Severus paused a moment before vanishing it. He watched Harry slide them into place on the shelf, and when he didn’t turn around immediately Severus knew why. A wordless spell took care of the final box, and Severus took a step forward to wrap his arms around Harry’s waist from behind.

“Well?” he asked softly, leaning his cheek against Harry’s hair. Harry turned his head to smile at him, lacing their fingers together.

“It’s different,” he replied a bit wistfully, taking a long look around the room. Severus knew he was remembering their quarters at Hogwarts, and, at least in his own mind, he could admit that he was, too. But then he turned back to Severus, his smile brilliant, and Severus was abruptly reminded of why where they were didn’t matter. “But it’s home,” he continued, leaning up to give Severus a kiss.

Yes, it is, Severus thought, sliding his fingers through Harry’s hair and returning the kiss. As long as I’m with you.

Okay, fine. This is just so lovely. And you know, I feel so very different today than I did yesterday. As you know, darling, this is the first place I've ever had by myself. And everything in it is so new—carpets, tub, counters, etc—that it feels new. Like my own. It's a very new, different feeling, so it was very nice to see this waiting for me in my inbox.

I feel very much like Harry, even though I think I was a bit more eager to leave. The sentiment is the same though. And I adore Severus' gentle patience as well.

Thank you so much for your sweet gift.

You don't have to share if you don't want to. : ) You can cuddle it all to yourself and pretend no one has ever seen it. xD

I'm really, really happy for you. It's so good that you're going to have a place to yourself, and I'm so excited that it's so nice and everything is so new. That's just so great to hear : ) I'll really do my very best to come down and see you as soon as I possibly can. I want to see it and how happy it makes you. : )

And yes, I do know you were quite a bit more ready to leave, but I couldn't figure out how to make Harry feel that way. xD I'm just so happy that you're happy to be where you are. And Harry and Severus are, too. : )

*hugs* I heart you back. : ) Have fun finishing up the moving process, and remember I want to see pictures once you're done and rested. : )

	I love these little pieces of life that say so much about their relationship. I always makes me wonder: How did they get there? Where are they now? What next?
