So what are your opinions on the fact that they've made a second XF movie and it'll be out in theatres in the US in about one month?

At first I was disgusted that they'd revive the dead horse and beat it again. Then I was disgusted to read that Doggett wouldn't be in the movie. I declared that I would not waste my money on the thing and pretend it wasn't happening. Then I read that if XF2 does well they'd do a third movie and it's been said (though I have my doubts) that Doggett would be included in a third movie if it happens, and I said to hell with that I'm still not wasting money on that, I don't want to see Doggett get destroyed by CC. Then I said that the only stuff I'd get involved with in this movie was saving promo stills (since I collect XF promo images)... then I saw a trailer for the movie and thought it didn't look that bad (in comparison to other summer movie trailers I've seen - which make XF2 look like an Oscar contender LOL, I'm just kidding XF will never win such a prestigious award), then I decided that I would see the movie but I won't be spending any of my own money on it, no way, nuh-uh <--- I'll be using a movie gift card that I got from someone. Then for a week or two I actually think I got a bit excited about the movie, then that died down again because I realized I'm only excited for very little about the movie 1) Mark Snow's musical score, 2) Gillian as Scully again (hopefully not the weepy thing from the last two seasons *crosses fingers*), and 3) I get to laugh at DD trying to pull off Mulder again (I'm getting quite a kick out of seeing Mulder XF2 promos) then I realized that those things really aren't BIG things to get excited about and I'm wondering again if I'm actually going to like the movie or if I'm going to see the dang thing out of some feeling of obligation to TXF (one of my favorite shows of all time, but certainly IMHO not the best show ever made). So my thoughts about XF2 are a bit confusing. Though I am certain about one thing...

... and that one thing is that Doggett is not in XF2. Doggett was an important character in TXF series and in the lives of Mulder and Scully in those last two seasons and I think it's TPTB flipping the middle finger at Doggett fans to not include him in this movie. Yet they feel the need to create two new FBI characters Xzibit's character and Peet's character who I'm going to guess are going to be similar to Doggett and Reyes. And I have my own opinions on why TPTB felt they needed to exclude Doggett (and Reyes), but that's a whole other discussion and I don't have the energy to type it up right now.

So... yeah, I'll go see this movie once in theatres (opening day as early as I can to avoid sitting among the masses and before fans can post their opinions on the thing online to ruin my initial viewing of the movie), but it is yet to be seen if I'll like this movie or if I'll view it as yet another whoop on the ass to the dead horse that CC & Co. beat (dead horse being the characters and relationship of Mulder and Scully) to death in the last three seasons of the show.

I don't mean to be or sound so negative about it, I know that a lot of hard work goes into making a feature film and I am a fan of TXF even if it doesn't necessarily sound like I am by this post. I just care that much about what happens to the characters and how good the plot will be just like any other fan of the show probably is right now.

So what about you? What are your thoughts/feelings on XF2?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give all of you a heads up that I have updated my Knowle website, Master Sergeant, with new content and a brand new design!



=WHAT'S NEW=
-Updated the photo gallery to include all new HIGH QUALITY screen captures from all of Knowle's episodes, and the Mythology DVD set "Super Soldiers". Also added fan artwork (collages, wallpapers, icons) to the gallery - submissions are accepted from other fans!

-The Rohrinites Perspective has been added to the site as a place for fans to submit why they love Knowle and tell their story of being a fan. Also has little buttons that say "I love Knowle Rohrer" to display on your profile, forum signatures, websites... wherever!

-Added a small page for Adam Baldwin too. Expect a small gallery of Adam photos to be added (nothing to the extent of my AB photo site, Adam Baldwin Archives.)

Hey all!

In an effort to get more Robert/Doggett and Annabeth/Reyes fans over
on a general X-Files forum, I'm posting to invite you all over to
Damien's X-Files Ultimate - The Friendly Forums:

There aren't a whole lot of Robert fans on the forum and the ones that
are there just lost out on getting a folder specifically for Robert
and Annabeth on the landing page of the board due to being
outnumbered. It was a close call, but ultimately one that plugged a RP
and AG folders within a OTHERS folder instead of on the landing page -
which I found insulting as Robert and Annabeth are the lead actors of
the last two seasons of "The X-Files" and I think they deserve a place
of discussion directly on the main page of this forum (especially when
a folder for discussing a THIRD XF movie, yes, you read that right, a
THIRD XF movie) has been created and is on the main page of this
forum, yet folders for Robert and Annabeth are hidden being the OTHERS
folder.

Damien has said that if there are enough topics in the Robert Patrick
folder that he would bump it to the main page, so I'm reaching out to
you Robert Patrick fans to join up on XFU and help make this happen.
This XFU forum is in desperate need of more pro-Robert/Doggett fans.

If you are afraid of joining up on a general XF forum for whatever
reason I would like to say that in comparison to other general XF
forums that the XFU forum is a very nice place to get together and
discuss "The X-Files" with other fans. Previous to joining myself I
had sworn off joining general XF forums which I did not moderate. And
outside of being outnumbered in being a fan of Robert/Doggett it's not
bad at all, but it does get lonely there. So if you've got the time,
come on over there and join. If you don't have the time pass the URL
onto any other Robert/Doggett or Annabeth/Reyes fans that you know and
let them know it'd be great if they could join and help bring the
respect to Robert/Doggett and Annabeth/Reyes that he/she deserves on a
XF forum that claims to be "friendly" towards all types of fans.
