Ever since breakfast, Audrey wasn't sure how to describe how she was feeling. Deliriously happy seemed to be the closest she could get to, and that was only when she could speak without giggling or laughing. It was difficult, to be honest, since singing, Prime numbers are only divisible by themselves and the number "one." Prime numbers are only divisible by themselves and the number "one." 2 3 5 7 11 13 17 19 23 29 31 37 41 43 47 53 59 61 67 71 73 79 83 89 97 101." in Arithmancy class wasn't the best thing to do and neither was jumping excitedly when she transfigured her bird into a music box in Transfiguration class.

And lunch was even more difficult because she tried to give everyone a hug, and afterwards, clung to Cal's left arm during the rest of the time, which just made it harder to eat since she was right-handed. Well, she thought that she had the right since he was her boyfriend, and she was happy and in love. Was this how it felt like? Happiness translating into being in love? She thought they went hand in hand for the most part, although she had to admit she was happy transfiguring the sparrow too.

As she stepped out of Potions, she started skipping down the corridors, singing the first song that came to mind.

"All the simple things that you do to me make me feel so right," she started, waving to passerby's as she adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder. "I've been waiting for a man like you for all my life."

It was a bit difficult trying to skip up the stairs, so she just climbed them as fast as she could, so she could slide down the banister for a few steps and restart again. "The way you hold me close is like I'm dancing along, I don't wanna let go." Up six steps, down five, and back again.

"I've been hoping for some loving like this every night," she continued, beaming. "Something about the way you are, something about the way that you've been making me feel, 'cause I love the way that you are... you are.

Always thinking about my baby, always wishing that you're here right next to me, 'cause I love the way that you are... you are."

Cal was pleasantly amused by Audrey's enthusiasm. He wasn't sure quite what had gotten into her, but he was happy to see her affectionate toward him. They had been dating for a couple of months now and he worried that she still felt uncomfortable around him - like maybe he had forced himself upon her a little bit. Whatever the source of this newfound confidence, he liked it. Even if she was being slightly silly.

Cal found Audrey on the staircase that afternoon coming up from the Potions dungeon as he was coming back into the Great Hall from a little private Quidditch training. He watched her for a few minutes, smiling to himself at her singing. Then he realised he was being a little strange and decided to approach her. "Hullo love," he called out to her as he walked over, holding out his arms for a hug. "I see your brilliant mood hasn't subsided." He grinned crookedly at her, his eyes twinkling with mirth.

Audrey didn't feel uncomfortable around Cal on an ordinary basis; at least, she didn't feel uncomfortable about him himself. She had been a bit hesitant and reserved though because she didn't know how to act like a girlfriend or what was expected from her. She could only remember her brothers -namely Nicolas- complaining (or perhaps insulting, although she really couldn't tell if he was being serious or sarcastic) about girls who were too clingy, and she didn't want Cal to hate her or be bothered by her if she acted clingy. She did enjoy spending time with him and being with him, and sometimes she wanted to be only with him, but she tried to give him as much space possible so he could study, play Quidditch, and be with his other friends; and she hoped that wouldn't make her look clingy.

But now she was just utterly deliriously happy and she didn't exactly know why. And her self-doubts and hesitancy disappeared and she didn't care or realize how people looked at her. When she spotted Cal, she grinned, running up and into his arms, throwing her arms around his neck, in a great big hug. "Cal!" she beamed and gave him a peck on the lips. "Are you on your way back to the tower?"

When she finally released him and set her feet back on the ground, she took his hand and swung it between them, and grinned, singing again. "Even when I'm down, you change my mood around just by being you. Loving you is so easy, easy to do."

"I am, love," Cal grinned at her, relishing the lingering taste on his lips. If he'd been able to read her thoughts or concerns on her face, he would have done his best to reassure her. He didn't think she was clingy at all - and besides that, he was more tolerant of clingy behavior than many other blokes his own age. It probably had something to do with his romantic nature: once he was interested in someone, he wanted to spend as much time as possible with them. So he couldn't exactly think of a way in which having Audrey around would be a bad thing.

At the moment, though, he enjoyed her buoyant spirit, allowing him own mood to be elevated by her enthusiasm. "It's a lovely song, did you come up with it yourself?" he teased her, swinging his hand along with her. Chuckling to himself, he lifted his hand and made a gesture to twirl her underneath it, like a ballerina. "We should keep practicing our dancing, you know. We'll knock out the rest of the competition." He joined in with her singing and dancing where he could as they made their way back to Ravenclaw Tower together. At one point, he was so taken with her euphoric face that he swept her up and kissed her fervently right in the middle of the corridor. He was sure that she would rebuke him for it, later if not now, but he just so enjoyed seeing her happy that he couldn't help himself. "Got any ideas for activities this afternoon? I'd love to spend some time with you," he grinned after setting her back down.

Audrey grinned, completely unaware of any nerves or doubts she had deep in her mind. Was this how it felt to be confident and happy all the time? She wasn't sure who she'd ask about that, as the girls she always admired were indeed confident but not necessarily happy all the time, but she figured it must be. And she was even more happy when she saw Cal's grin. Of course, if he scolded her or told her she looked like an idiot, she would probably wave him off and go skipping down the halls without him, but it meant more to her that he was happy as well.

When he teased her, she shook her head, still grinning. "Nope," her hair bounced on her shoulders. "It's a song from my childhood, or at least, my mum played it when I was younger. Da didn't want her to 'corrupt me'," she hooked her fingers together to draw quotation marks in the air, "So I didn't get to listen to all kinds of music. But I love the Beattles too!" She smiled widely, nodding more happily. "Yes, dancing! For the next competition! I don't know when it'll be! But we should be prepared!"

Her smile didn't falter when he swept her in a grand gesture and kissed her, although she was a little stunned and didn't have time to giggle or laugh from the euphoria, and she kissed him back, not worrying or being embarrassed that they were in the middle of the corridor. "Ideas?" she looked thoughtful. "We can sing to the Giant Squid! Or dance along the lake? Or water the plants in the greenhouses? They love music too!"

Cal laughed at Audrey's apparently unassailable good mood. He still wasn't sure what had gotten into her, but he was prepared to roll with the punches and enjoy her enthusiasm while it lasted. "We could do any of those things..." he began thoughtfully, "But we're headed back up to the Tower at the moment, which is the opposite way, isn't it?" He thought of returning to the Tower which was currently filled with an entire House-ful of stressed and harried students, the both of them singing at the top of their lungs. Though he knew he'd catch a lot of flak about it, and probably from his best mate at that, he simply couldn't pass up the opportunity to scandalise Ravenclaw like that. That lot needed a break, all of them.

"I think there might be some people up in the Tower who need us to cheer them up, love," he said, taking her hand and leading her toward the staircase. "Folks are far too stressed up there, you know." About halfway up to the Tower, Cal swung her arm over his shoulder and easily lifted Audrey into a piggyback position on his back. Smiling back at her as best he could, he raised his voice and sang (badly) as a prompt: "Love, love me do! You know I love you!"

Audrey would have faltered in her steps once Cal told her the minor technicality of her plans, but her mood didn't seem to allow it. Instead, she just nodded happily to his sense of direction. "That's right. We can go do those things after!" she grinned.

And when he suggested they cheer up their housemates, her grin widened considerably and her eyes lit up. "That would be brilliant!" Ravenclaw shouldn't be the stuffy strict smart house! Giggles escaped her lips as she felt herself being lifted, but she didn't mind at all. She hadn't been given a piggy back ride in years, and as she settled her legs against Cal's hips, she sang along to the song he chose. "I'll always be true. So please..... love me do. Whoa..... love me do."

Singing along with Audrey at the top of his lungs, Cal practically raced back to Ravenclaw Tower. Audrey's lovely mood was a wonderful break from his NEWT studying (which he admittedly wasn't doing as much of as his mates), and was putting him in a jubilant mood himself. He paused only momentarily as they reached the entrance to the Tower, and they blurted out the answer to the riddle together, giggling as they did.

"Shall we sneak up on them, love?" Cal asked her in a low whisper just before they reached the Common Room. Swinging Audrey down off of his back, he absent-mindedly lifted her hand to his mouth and brushed his lips over her fingertips. He was planning a surprise attack on Kris and Liz as he waited for her response. He was slightly concerned that the two of them might be rather annoyed at his plan, but he knew them well enough to hope that they would be able to relax about it, as well. And if not...well, he supposed he'd take the docked points. Looking down at Audrey in anticipation of her response, his blue eyes twinkled with mischief.

Audrey had never raced back to Ravenclaw Tower, or anywhere actually on Hogwarts grounds, on the back of a boy or more specifically, a boy that she liked. Mainly because her brothers would be telling her that it was unladylike or improper -and of course, that boys were only after one thing and that she should not expose herself in any way to suggest that- even when she was younger and before she hit puberty and started to blossom into the young lady that she was. But being carried by Cal was fun and she was laughing and singing as much as he was.

"Yes, let's!" Audrey agreed whole-heartedly, raising her other hand to cover her own mouth too. If only now she could control her giggling before bursting into song once again. She thought that Liz and Kris wouldn't mind so much as they were awfully nice to her throughout the years, and that they wouldn't dock them points either because of that. Of course, Cal knew them better than she did, but she couldn't imagine them being grumpy at all. She tried to bury her giggles in Cal's sleeve and followed him as he led her inside.
