Who: Sirius and Remus
What: Sirius is a bad influence as per usual.
When: Monday, after classes.

Monday's were ruddy awful. After having two days in a row to sleep in, returning to the normal pattern of rising with the crack of dawn was not at all desirable. Especially when you weren't a morning person and Sirius was quite certain he would never be a morning person. He had spent the entire day sleeping through classes, passing notes with James, and every once in a while, when he thought he could get away with it, annoying Remus in the middle of class just so he would shoot Sirius one of his looks. He probably shouldn't find his friend's frustration amusing, but he couldn't help it! And he apologized for it after the fact too.

Which was why he planned on making it up to Remus in the best way he knew possible. Remus probably wouldn't see how exceptionally fun it was at first, but that's what Sirius was there for. After knicking a bottle of firewhiskey from Hogsmeade, he returned to the dorms with a proud smile on his face. At first, it seemed like the room was empty until he spotted Remus's curtains drawn. Perfect.

Trying to remain as quiet as possible, he crept up beside the bed--waiting a moment before violently opening the curtains with a crooked grin. "Remus Lupin!"

Remus was reading, some mystery he was almost finished with and was fairly certain he'd figured out, when he smelled Sirius' aftershave. When the other boy didn't say anything right away he knew he had to be trying to sneak up on him and pulled a pillow from behind him.

When the curtains flew open he chucked the pillow at Sirius. Laughing as it hit him. "How many times do I have to tell you guys. You can't sneak up on a werewolf, especially not with that aftershave you wear." He grinned and closed his book, knowing that no reading was going to happen with Sirius around, especially not when he spotted the bottle in his hand.

Sirius's smugness was cut short when Remus's pillow hit him in the face. Making a noise in protest, he just looked down at the pillow after it fell to the floor before back up at Remus. "I'll have you know that I'm exceptionally sneaky, Moony. I'll get you one day." he informed him, not waiting for an invite as he joined him on his bed. After kicking off his shoes, he tugged the curtains closed and collapsed beside him. "And I think you rather like my after shave. S'why you always want to hang out with me. Always bugging me, interrupting my studying, hiding my books." he replied in an exasperated voice, looking quite serious before he grinned.

"Don't worry though Moons, I've come bearing gifts and the promise of fun!" he insisted, producing the bottle with a flourish and raising a brow as if to challenge him to say otherwise.

	He laughed as Sirius joined him on the be, stretching his own legs out in front him, already in his pajamas and comfortable with his glasses on. "Yes I am totally detrimental to your study habits Pads." He hit his shoulder against Sirius' and grinned. He laughed, "You do realize it's Tuesday night don't you? Sirius rather liked it when Remus laughed. In fact, subconsciously, he recognized it as one of his favorite sounds. It was why his smile always brightened when he heard it, especially when he was the reason behind it. "You really are Moony. You're a terrible influence on me." he replied quite seriously before letting out a laugh as he bumped shoulders with Remus. "And you're abusive." he added with a chuckle and a wink.

"Oh, do we?" Sirius asked sarcastically, a mischievous look in his eyes as he propped himself up on his elbows. "Well then. If we're going to have to suffer through that tomorrow--all the more reason!" he said, lips pulling up more as he hit his foot against Remus's. "C'mon Moons. It's not too late." he pointed out, pressing his foot down against Remus's because he could. "You know you want to."

Remus noticed his smile and had to admit, he really could get away with just about anything just by smiling. "Yes of course, Moony, the ruiner of innocence and the total brute." He smiled, sarcasm all but dripping in his voice.

He knew that look, those eyes meant there was no way he was going to talk his way out of this, though really, he could use the relief. No matter how much he played it off, he had been thinking about everything happening in the castle. He pulled his foot out from under Sirius', his sock coming off a little, and looked over at him. "Fine." He shot the other boy a pointed look, "But no more than a buzz, got it. I'm not trying to deal with a hangover during potions tomorrow."

"Very eloquently put." Sirius surmised with a nod, face remaining stoic until he quirked a grin and reached over to mess up Remus's hair.

Kicking his foot one last time before he pulled out of his reach, he made a face and looked back over at Remus. When he agreed to his proposition though, his bright smile was back. "I knew you were brilliant, Moony!" he said cheerfully, sitting up before pausing. "Well, if you had to deal with a hangover you could just brew a potion to fix it in class." Sirius said as it it was the most obvious thing in the world. He gave his friend another grin, unscrewing the cap of the bottle and offering it over to him. "Ladies first." he teased.

Remus ducked his head and fixed his hair...for the most part.

He raised an eyebrow in Sirius' direction, "And you really don't think Slughorn would notice. I know you're a bit dense Pad's but that's pushing it." He smirked, though really he knew he was bollocks at potions and would likely just end up worse off if he tried. He took the bottle, smirking, "Oh, so you've already had yours?" and took a sip.

"I'm brilliant." he replied in mock offense, "And you're a spectacular student Remus, every teacher loves you and your diligent note taking." he added with a crooked smile, feeling slightly giddy that he hadn't even had to really convince Remus to partake in his shenanigans.

"Oi you!" he said, jabbing his finger in his direction before wrapping his hand around the bottle to take a sip of it himself. He pointedly made sure he gulped down more than Remus, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he pulled it from his lips. "You've a more feminine bone structure Moons, and you bruise like a peach." he teased, reaching out to pinch his arm to prove his point.

He grinned, "Note taking and potions making are very different skills Padfoot, and you might actually benefit from the first on occasion you know."

He let Sirius have the bottle as he grabbed for it, leaning back against the pillows a little more, though still sitting up. "Hey!" he took hold of Sirius' hand playfully, "I get hurt enough, thank you. I don't need any of your help." He grinned again and took the bottle back, taking another sip, a little larger this time.

"Oi! I take notes when you're not there. There's no need for two of us to be scratching away with our quills. It's a waste of ink and parchment." he said reasonably, grinning over at Remus for his 'very valid point.'

Laughing as he grabbed a hold of his hand though, he gave Remus's a squeeze before letting it go. "Get hurt enough because you bruise like a peach." he muttered in a teasing tone, scooting up to sit beside him on the bed. Taking another swig from the bottle, he passed it off to his friend. "Don't worry Moons, I'll be your night in shining armor. I'm very tough I'll have you know." he boasted, looking rather smug.
