RP: Opening that old chapter again Who: Tracey and Theodore Where: Tracey's flat When: 12 May, 2005 Rating: PG Status: Complete
Twice already Theodore had considered getting off the train as the doors slid open and the announcement to 'mind the gap' came over the PA. It would be quite easy. Leave the train, catch the one going the other direction and return to his bedsit in Pimlico. The wand tucked away in his riding boot, the only boots tall enough to conceal it, made him feel uncomfortable. He hadn't touched it for years and didn't see the reason to bring it along.
But Tracey had asked him. Gave him instructions on how to get to her flat. Said it was important.
And Theodore couldn't bring himself to say no.
The train came to the stop he needed and squeezing past the afternoon crowd, Theodore left the car and walked through the platform, heading for the stairs. It was a climb, but he always avoided the moving stairway, which unnerved him and had done so since he started travelling underground with the other Muggles.
Squinting, Theodore shielded his eyes as he stepped out of the tube station and into the street. He consulted the written directions and then made his way through the neighbourhood until he reached a rather smart looking townhouse. Double checking the address, he climbed the steps and pressed the button beside the door. Inside he heard the small ring of the doorbell and then glanced around, waiting for her to answer.
