Questions
If you have questions, please ask in comments. I'll try to get to you. If you are not part of InsaneJournal, please leave a name so I'll at least know who you are. :)

Note
If you see a staggered gradation in the images in your layout, which might result from your computer saving the images as .bmp only, I learned from [info]carriep63 that it is most likely due to the need to clean out your temporary internet files.

Ohhh, and I totally think I broke a rule or something. Most of the time when I change my layouts, the coder always just includes code for how to change the header, and I got used to doing it without asking. And now I see you don't usually allow it, and I'm really sorry and really, really, really sorry. I would have asked if I'd known it bothers you. I'll take it down, if you want me to, but I really love this layout, and it took me forever to load all those images in my photobucket.

*begs and pleads*

Normally I don't want to change the header because if I make a layout I really like the images I choose for the layout.

No, it doesn't bother me, I would just say ask, worst I could say is no but I am bendable about that because people have different interests and of course the banner is usually where it is expressed.

...it took me forever to load all those images in my photobucket.

Hmm, I need to ask because I am seeing a black background on the mini images in your journal and the sidebar background are odd. Which is weird, I want to know if it is just me.

I mostly write slash, so don't look if your eyes might be burned out of your head or something. LOL.

Ha! You need to pass by my regular journal at livejournal. (scotchsour) Believe me, slash is my default setting. :D

Well, you know, it's the first time I've tried to use a layer in addition to CSS. I knew that was how it had to be done, and I remembered seeing you had the layer info, but it didn't click for me that it was for the sidebar tags until after I had already done a search for the layout style, of which there isn't much to find. LOL.

Hmm, I dunno about the backgrounds. There does seem to be a black background on the mini images. Is there not supposed to be? I don't remember changing any of the colors. All I did was copy the images you linked to into my Paintshop, save them, and upload them. I think they look fine, but I thought that's how they were supposed to look.

And the sidebar background, I don't know what you mean. Are they oriented wrong? I don't think I ever checked to see if it matched exactly with the preview, since I was tickled with how it turned out regardless. I wonder...

Paintshop? Never used it.

With the exception of the banner, all the mini images are .png and the rest are .gifs which should register to FF as clear backgrounds and IE as white backgrounds which in this case should seem clear and all good. All the images on your journal look like the image was reduced in gif resolution which is weird.

All you needed to do to the images was download the images onto your computer and then upload to a server or file storage, such as photobucket. It could be going through Paintshop might have changed the integrity of the image.

Here is the preview of how it should look, Baroque

I think I figured it out! Because I was confuddled. I clicked on your image links for the mini images and discovered that your do have white backgrounds. I couldn't figure out why mine saved with black backgrounds. Turned out, I have my default background as black in Paintshop. I guess it just automatically filled in black behind them. I can't see whether there are borders on your mini images in the links, so I'm guessing they're not little squares. My program obviously made them little squares and added the black.

The black doesn't bother me, but I can change it in the morning if it bothers you. Wouldn't want to false advertise. LOL.

Still not exactly sure what you mean about the sidebar, though. *shrug*

Sidebar images are the red backgrounds that surrounds the menu tags, links and etc. It doesn't have the gradual change of color. Just right click and move mouse down to [Save as] link to your computer and don't go through Paintshop.

LOL, I figured that out. For some reason, my comp won't let me right click and save .jpg images, and since most of the images I come across are .jpg, I just got in the habit of saving them through Paintshop. Okays, anyway, got the little minis fixed. If the others are in .gif or .png, then I'll be able to fix them, but if they're .jpg I don't think I can. Lemme take a looksee.
