I love that there was a time that the comic-reading masses not only accepted a German fighter pilot in WWI as the hero of their stories, but that it actually became popular as well.
That's not a comment on quality, by the way, but more so on the concept. In 1965, WWII has still relatively fresh in people's minds. Heck, it's 2009 and we're still talking about it.
P.S. Don't get me wrong, I love Enemy Ace. Great character.
