After Tiny Titans, Mini Marvels and chibi!Secret Six comes: Little Gotham!

"so hell yes this october is going to be a fun ass month here.

Not only is it the debut of Derek Fridolfs and mine's first project together with Derek kicked up to the role of WRITER and me still as penciller and then Derek as INKER in our short Halloween Special, BUT-

it is also our debut of my much much much much much much much much much much much much MUUUUUCCCCHHHHH pushed- little gothams.

you guys have NO idea how long i've been waiting to do this, my wonderful editors at DC saw my love for it and cleared the way for us and now, it's baby steps.

Derek and I are co-writing 2 short 2 page stories, one for thsi year's BATMAN Annual, and one for this year's DETECTIVE Annual. i will be handling the entire art just as i did on the splash i did a while back- "

That's Annie, from the excellent BTAS episode "Growing Pains".

DCAU Clayface had the power to turn himself into several smaller forms so he could essentially be his own gang.

Annie was a "scout" self that a weak and injured Clayface created to go out and see if things were okay for him to come out into the open. But because he was weak she developed sentience in her own right as she got further away from him, and essentially became an amnesiac human girl, who Tim Drake's Robin developed feelings for after he encountered her. In one of the most disturbing scenes in the entire DCAU canon, Clayface reabsorbed her against her will so he could restore himself to health, essentially killing her.

Design-wise, she's based on Natalie Portman's character Mathilde in the movie "Leon"

Oooh, this should be fun! I especially like the fact that Clayface is driving a cement truck (which presumably is filled with excess him), and the nod to 'Batman Returns' in Penguin's vehicle and umbrella. (I kinda wish he'd gone with the straight rubber ducky version, though, instead of making it some sort of cartoon penguin - true, it's more accurate to his theme, but c'mon, the Duck Vehicle was classic! How can you not love a villain who drives around in a giant rubber ducky?)
I look forward to seeing the more complete version of this. We need more whimsy in the Bat-books.
