Unexpected cameo from Blackest Night #3
So there was this splash panel in #3, with Firestorm looking at all the monitors...

But who's that in the lower right...
Photobucket
Not just any unknown solider, but The Unknown Solider>! At least I hope. That would be such an unexpected stealth relaunch.

According that wikipedia page Unkown Solider is a Vertigo guy now. Aren't they banned from main DCU titles?

Different guy, I think. The new series takes place in Modern Africa, although the last time the old WWII guy was seen was in a Vertigo mini by Garth Ennis (which had a few lines that could imply that it took place in the DC proper, back when the lines between the two were a less solid).

Like Animal Man or any of the Sandman characters that have appeared in DC titles over the years?

DC's current official policy is that DC characters are not allowed to appear in DC comics if they are currently featured in a Vertigo title. By the same token, DC characters that are currently featured in a DC title can't appear in Vertigo titles. Also, DC does not allow John Constantine, Swamp Thing and major Sandman characters to appear in DC titles outside cameos.

Thought you were gonna point out Black Adam's Brother in law being resurrected, whatever his name is.

Yes and it actually makes sense since God basically imprisoned him in Crispin's corpse as punishment in Infinite Crisis.

What I want to know is why the Rogues Of The Dead are trying to break INTO Iron Heights Prison?

Piper being the living vessel for the anti-life equation?

Piper's in Iron Heights?

I think so. He turned himself in to the cops after Final Crisis: Rogues' Revenge and holding Inertia down so they could kill him. And as far as I know, Piper hasn't been seen or mentioned since.

Missed opportunity for massive laughs -- Zombie Maxwell Lord's head should've been facing the wrong way, thusly causing him to walk backwards, or constantly bump into things.

Comedy fucking GOLD, people.
