Look Who's Back!
One page and some spoilers from this week's Green Arrow/Black Canary after the cut...



Kinda surprised someone hadn't already posted this, but everyone's favorite HIV positive heroine returned in Green Arrow/Black Canary! Yup, Speedy's back...in a horrible costume, too. I really miss the red suit, the gray outfit makes no sense.



Anyways, Mia returns home after she caught Dodger making out with Emma Watson. No, really, that's what she says.

Rest of the book is the usual crap, with Dinah cutting a swath of mayhem through town trying to protect Cupid, and Ollie ultimately leaving to "get better".



Also, am I missing something or did the Edit Tags button disappear? Ok, I did miss something, but it's all better now, and that's half the battle, amiright? (Thanks, pyrotwilight).

Obvious tag is omitted so as not to spoil the surprise.

The sad thing is, everything is identical to her original costume, but it's gray instead of red. It really doesn't pop like the other one.

Aw, poor Emma Watson. First her movie posters are photoshopped to make her less fat but with bigger boobs, then people deliberately took upskirt photos of her as she was getting out of a car on her 18 birthday party, and now this.

In her Teen Vogue (I think) interview she mentioned her on/off relationship was that way because the tabloids keep making stuff up, too. Low blow, comics! :[

Okay, I think I don't get this anymore:

Green Arrow leaves the life of Black Canary completely, at least for a certain time. Now, I will readily admit that I prefer GA over Dinah, so I never quite was on the same page as all the fans that prefer Gail Simmone's version, but she's on her own now! Ollie won#t be around to safe her, she's got to do all on her own (well, maybe our friendly neighbourhood Speedy will help)!

On top of that she prove a capable opponent as a fighter, so what#s there to complain?

Also, if Speedy's costume is all the same except the grey for red, why has it suddenly gotten awkward? Maybe it's just a sign of growing up? OR, well, her being a woman, maybe she feels like mixing up her wardrobe some time?

Despite my dislike for this book, I did sneak a peek at it at the comic shop. And I did (silently) squeal, "Yeah, Mia!" when I saw her.

And sadly that is the only positive moment I have had with this book this year.
