	Oddly, I AM deeply thrilled with this -- now if he does kill Black Beetle, then ... not so much. Looking into the abyss and ... stepping back, being taken to extremes is fine. it had some rough points. I wasn't sure what he was doing with the secret identity thing at the beginning. Perhaps he hoped the villain only thought he was Blue Beetle at first.

Of course since Black Beetle has been shown to lie about who he is and his history he might still be Hector.

I'm kind of hoping that he'll end up downloading the Scrab's programming into another recepticle to get rid of that.

	Sturges has written the series quite well, and he's not compulsively grim by any stretch, so I wouldn't be worried. Plus, I'm pretty sure Black Beetle still features in upcoming Booster stories, so I don't think he can die in Jaime's. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	This will probably end with Black Beetle tricking Jaime into downloading whatever this lethal-force thing in Khaji Da is into him, thus making him more powerful. Meanwhile, Khaji Da goes back to normal. And honestly, if you zap Milagro, you deserve to get your guts ripped out. 	It'd be logical for a person, not for a character who, like Jaime, has always been depicted as being emotionally stable and with an excellent support system all around him. 	I'm guessing this is just a teaser - I've never yet come across an 'I'll KILL you!' cliffhanger moment where the hero actually DID wind up killing someone. My guess is that, now that the situation with the scarab going loopy is coming to a head, the next issue will clear things up again, and we'll be back more or less to normal.
