I really don't think he can shop around much, a deep part of his problem seems to be not only the nature of those losses, but the fallout from some of them in the batclan and how he's relating to them. He really needs to be able to tell the truth about a lot of things that he can't talk about to most people. Having him talk to Clark could be an interesting story, and possibly beneficial in the long term although I doubt it would help much immediately.
