Greetings I bring you novelty and entertainment!
I come bearing two webcomics. The first is presented without context for we are so strong that we don't need it. Right?

The recent news of Disney buying Marvel reminded me of this:

Remember people keep writing those Spike Spiegel, Spike (from BTVS), Spike Lee, and Spike Jonze (with or without his city slickers) slash fics. They may earn you a lot of money some day!

Menage a 3 skeeves me out because I hate the viewpoint character, and the way it progresses makes me inclined to believe the writer's a lot like him. It's like Loserz all over again, only the faces aren't as ugly and there are also gay people.

Actually, the writer is a girl and the self insert is the lesbian, Zii.

Zii isn't a lesbian, she's bisexual.

Right, sorry. I haven't read too much of it. Most of what I know is from a review. They didn't mention she was bisexual.

Co-writer! And I meant the impression it made more than the reality of it. Either way, Gary ruins the enjoyment for me. Even if it weren't all the second-hand embarrassment he puts one through, I can't stand him and think he's a real creep.

They're ALL creepy. I mean, I'm not some kind of prude or anything - I'll give a sexually charged character as much of a chance as any other, so long as there's more to their character than that - but not when it's the ENTIRE CAST, and there isn't more to the characters than that. There's about three characters who don't immediately want to screw every other character they meet, and no-one talks about anything else. You get the feeling that Zii would get busy with an armadillo if it guaranteed her a stack of gay-manga as a reward.

Plus, Didi isn't even a real character, and that makes her incredibly obnoxious. She has no redeeming traits. She's basically a moving realdoll.

Yeah, it's all caricature over character. The writing's no better than your average porno, and it takes two people to make it!

In fact - and it comes to me in this split second - it's almost like Torchwood without the sci-fi or the Welsh.

I am years late, but you hated Loserz?!

Not hated so much as didn't like. It read like a introverted teenage boy's look at high school life, complete with fistfuls of cheesecake, weirdly drawn faces, and strawman depictions of people outside an introverted teenage boy's social circle. I dislike Menage a 3 for a lot of the same reasons, only it's more about late-twenty-somethings that are drawn better but behave as more shallow caricatures, and somehow is supposedly co-written by a woman.
