Greetings I bring you novelty and entertainment!
I come bearing two webcomics. The first is presented without context for we are so strong that we don't need it. Right?

The recent news of Disney buying Marvel reminded me of this:

Remember people keep writing those Spike Spiegel, Spike (from BTVS), Spike Lee, and Spike Jonze (with or without his city slickers) slash fics. They may earn you a lot of money some day!

Macbeth was, I believe, also based on real events. (Also, one little tidbit of knowledge I just remembered is that Shakespeare had a son called Hamnet, who died very young.)

"Based" is probably too strong a word to use, "uses the same names as some real people" is perhaps closer to the truth. IIRC it was written to curry favour with an English Queen who had not had the best luck with the Scots.

Ahh, interesting. That does make more sense.

Actually, I think Macbeth may have been written to curry favor with James I who was supposedly a descendant of Malcolm. The dates make more sense for James than Elizabeth I, and things like the witches would've been added for James's benefit since he was into that sort of thing.
