I like how much it's clear here that Diana basically 'belongs' to Athena still, and is hers to train and supervise and deal with. It's not exactly a proper ship in the long run, particularly since Perez and especially Rucka were both pretty good at getting across the whole "Parthenos" aspect of Athena's personality and making her seem genuinely beyond sex and romance, but there is an enduring sort of symbiosis between them regardless of the form it takes, and I appreciate Gail greatly for perpetuating that.
