Consensus among a large group of people whose opinion I trust and respect. As for Hush I think he was actually more interesting in Gotham Knights than in Heart of Hush. Saying Dini redeemed him is giving him too much credit... but your mileage may vary, as with anything. Jason Todd being featured required an implausible and never explained personality volte face, which didn't work and didn't stick, even within Countdown. I don't think so. Jason Todd is supposed to be dead too, so why not - the monitors say so in the very first issue of Countdown. Maybe you're right. Even if you are, an editorial mandate for Jason Todd to replace Dick Grayson is largely irrelevant since the biggest problem the book had was consistently bad writing - not only the Jason Todd parts but also the Holly/Harley, Jimmy Olsen and Mary Marvel plots - and Dini was ultimately in charge of that.
As I said, your mileage may vary. I'm just trying to explain why some people think Dini is not a very good writer and I think I've done so now. I'll withdraw :)
