What Does Wrecker Like About Carol Danvers?
Greetings True Believers! Here is one page from New Avengers #56 that made me laugh. So what does Wrecker like about Ms. Marvel?

Find out!

Set-up is that Jonas Harrow has used a power drainer to disable the New Avengers.

Thickness? Carol?

Sure, isn't she a "fat cow" according to Doom? (Shudders at the memory)

That's one of those times Reed is very glad of his powers indeed.

Fake!Spider-Woman said she knocked out the Viper when she called her fat, when it was really keeping her cover (one of them, anyway) with the Avengers.

The last issue and the preview of this issue had Luke Cage moaning about his heart. Could the process that gave him his power also "fix" something wrong with his heart? Maybe if Luke ever permanently loses his powers, his heart will give out.

Oh, are we sure that's Carol Danvers? Or rather... "our" Carol Danvers? MS MARVEL #9 and #10 wasn't that long ago.

Well, his powers have been turned off and his heavy skin and muscles cause trouble with his heart. I think that was established in some earlier book. (don't remember which one)

IIRC, Hank Pym had heart troubles sometimes due his his size-changing, the enlarging especially. He got stuck at 10 feet tall for a while and had to constantly take medication to keep from having a heart attack. So someone who had enhanced musculature without an enhanced heart would have issues as well.

I'm reminded of the novel "Spider-Man: Down These Mean Streets" by Keith R.A. DeCandido. One of Peter's students (from when he was a teacher) took gamma radiation-enhanced ecstacy, Hulked-out, then later died in the hospital from a damaged heart. Peter even referenced Hank Pym's issues with size-changing.

Carol has been drawn at some point in time by Frank Cho, and as such, retains substantial junk in her trunk.

I would never question a fine badonkadonk, but the OP displays confusion. I am telling the OP where it's at.

It's a good analysis and Frank Cho is always where it's at!

Maybe this will prompt Carol to don a new superhero identity and bring justice as Thunderthighs!

What, you mean with Loki and Hood and Masque? Dormammu was exorcised last issue, I believe, and Loki promised to re-power Hood.

I presumed 'thickness' meant Carol's extreme muscle.

Love Mockingbird here!
