While I dislike Willingham's politics and think that Fables is highly overrated (the first few volumes were good...then it fell apart with Israel analogies, constant 'Aha!' moments, and similar sounding characters), I hold out the hope that he has at least paid attention to Geoff Johns's run to avoid the whole religion thing. Nevermind that Geoff Johns's handling of it was so bloody heavy handed anyway.

Also, it's one of the great dynamics in JSA- Terrific and Mid-nite, both exceptionally skilled and talented men, athiest and Christian. If he removes that, he'll be killing one of the best partnerships DC has.

Now, my MAIN problem with what I've seen so far? Wildcat. "Standard hostage procedure"? Who is this man, and what have you done with the REAL Wildcat? Already I can see Willingham-isms creeping in. He has some gruff rough n' tumble character spout out some military procedures matter of factly. No, no, no. You might get that from Magog or that Commander Steel (?) guy, but Wildcat? He'll say, "So we can pounce the little s***s at the same time, kid. Whattya expect?"
